pin trading in tokyo

will be doing tokyo disney second week of may, i do lots of pin trading when we got wdw florida, is it also as popular in tokyo.
also would love to hear any other thoughts of does, don't and can't miss items

I was at TDS Thursday (a week ago today) and Disneyland on Friday. I did not see much (if any) pin trading. A few (very few) pins were for sale, but there is no trading like you're used to in the U.S.

Pin trading is actually not allowed within the Tokyo Parks. It hasn't been allowed since 2003 or before. i love trading pins, but the only way I can is through friends back in the states or when I get to WDW. Leave your pins home...you won't find a single chance to trade. There are nice pins to buy, but even those are limited.
