Kathryn,

Thanks for the pictures! It's always fun to see everyone enjoying a meet!!

Have to make an editing comment... I know Peggie wishes she were there, but I looked closely at the picture, and that wasn't Mickey527 ....it was Mickey7811. :D Unless Peggie snuck to FL while I was out to dinner last night and is hiding in that picture, which technically is possible....Hmmmmm....Peggie? where are you??:D :D :D

oh now now Ray Charles is in there singing Geo-gia, Geogia ... oh never mind. The ramblings of a simple woman. :-) Indeed you are right it is none other than our own Vice Peachident and my co-reigning queen Flex pin Queen, Darlene.

Sorry three caballeros wishful thinking I guess. Speaking of the three caballeros. JoJoCT where ARE you? we don't hear from you very often. Tell us you are OK or send a message to us from one of the other caballeros please :-~

Of course, now I'm even more "homesick" . . . :( . . . Sniff, sniff

I'll never make it until the third week of November!

I am trying to get someone from Idaho (not me I still am stuck here) to stop by on one of the Fridays she will be there. See I am trying to help the cause even if I don't live in Florida. I will tell her how helpful and friendly you all promise to be.

The meet was fantastic! It was our only real opportunity to break out the books on this trip because it was a scheduled family trip instead of a "pin trading" trip. We had a great time at the meet and traded lots of pins!! Great atmosphere, friendly traders, lots of fun, and we would be there every Friday if only we lived a little closer! Looking forward to the next time!!

By all means have your Idaho friend come over. Even if they can't stand pins we are a pretty okay group of people to hang out with while you are at Disney on a Friday night. Your friend might make a friend or two to spend Sat or Sun with :D

I would like to thank Kathryn and Raul and Donna for the wonderful time I had in Disney World.

I went on Friday night, just to say, as we had not even checked into our room because we wanted to enjoy the park as soon as we got there. I arrive at the meet with not a single pin, but I just wanted to stop by and say Hi.

I am so glad I did, because I had the wonderful privledge of running into Kathryn and Raul and Donna on Saturday and Monday at the parks.

And the greatest thrill was for them to be there when I received my CTT pin - I think they could tell how speechless and thrilled I was - and so totally surprised to receive this wonderful honor.

I did have the thrill of going to the Friday night meet on my last night there to actually pull out my pinbooks and do some trading. Actually I do not think I traded too much, but it was so much fun to be among such nice people. I saw Kathryn trade an absolutely wonderful pin to a young girl that wanted it, just because she liked it - Kathryn did this out of the kindness of her heart. Kathryn also made a phone call for me and my friend Sue because we were not able to get the Annual Passholders Pin as it was sold out property wide. She actually helped us to make arrangements to have that pin mailed to us.

Everyone there was so nice to a young family that was new to trading. I think the children left there with lots of pins - gifts from the traders there - Suecot2000 gave them a pin to add to their collection. Suzi also was intense in explaining this pin trading thing. Everyone was so nice to all of the family. Another family hooked on pin trading.

I look forward to my next trip and my next Friday night at the Contemporary - can I ask one thing - what is wrong with Saturday - we usually check in that day and would be a better day to trade - just a thought.

Thanks Kathryn, and Raul and Donna - and See Ya Real Soon.

Love,

Darlene

Just wanted to let you know - that unless someone else has the same name as me- the man in the picture is not my dad. You were my wife's partner during the pin contest back in August and you both did an excellent job i heard! ...and your bear too! Thanks for letting me clarify this.

So Kathryn you thought my missing comma was something, Splane this Lucy, calling that man Michael's dad tsk tsk.

They dont even look the same.

actually Figment forever is a web site for friends of figment. or something or another, I am sure that JudySue and CheshireFigment will be glad to straighten me out on this. Anyway LOL sorry to confuse the issue and widh you two had been here too.
Kathryn

Hi Kathryn (and others)

The web site you referred to is www.FriendsofFigment.org It is run by a friend of ours in Chicago. :) :)

The person visiting with us was the Walk-Around Dreamfinder at Epcot for 15½ years. :) :)

One of the most important things about FriendsofFigment is THE GUESTS WON!!!!! . Besides seeing many friends during our short visit, we really loved seeing the attractions sign in Epcot on Monday morning where it said: "Imagination Ride --- Closed". We know the warning sign of "May Scare Small Children" will be coming down. Currently it is scheduled that the attraction will reopen in August. The song "One Little Spark" will be back. Figment will have a much bigger part than now. The ride will not be as long as the original. We do not know, at this time, if Dreamfinder will be back. However, we found that in six months the abomination had gotten more guest complaints than everything else in WDW combined in a normal year. It looks like Guest Complaints do (sometimes) work!!

I knew you and Judy Sue would bail me out.
Thanks !!!
