Pin Code - Free Dining 9/28 - 10/11

GrumpysGal ~ I wanted to make sure again, being that the $10 difference doesn't really make sense ( I didn't do the math of what it would be for value season price before). So I pulled up my 24hour hold res. online and sure enough it says $1107.88.

"Purchase Date: September 7, 2008 Total Price: 1107.88 USD
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deposit by September 8, 2008: 917.16 USD
Balance Due by September 8, 2008: 190.72 USD"

I wonder where the extra $10 off is coming from then?!?!?

If I were to book the same package online without the DDP it is $1,203.88 without tax. Compared to $1,107.88 with tax.

Sorry...didn't mean to make you second guess yourself. I am an accountant and a bit of a math geek. A lot of posters were saying they were being given the FD on top of the Oct-Dec MYW discount they already had which is not usually allowed. I also noticed that the additional amounts they said they were saving after applying the FD PIN did not equal the total cost of their dining plan. So after crunching several posters' numbers, I came up with the theory I posted earlier. You certainly aren't paying regular season rack rate for the room.

By the way, the $1,203.88 amount for "regular price" you got online does include tax. The $96 difference between this number and the $1,107.88 you are paying is equal to the $17/day difference between value and regular season x 5 nights + 12.5% tax rate. So the number you have actually supports my theory...not sure why it came up $10 higher on the WDW site.

So if i go and get the 1 day tickets can I apply them to a new annual pass (not FL resident?). So my pass would be $79.88 less since i'm 'applying' $79.88 from the unused 1 day ticket?

Yes, I asked this question of 3 different cast members and was told exactly that.

I am being told that the cost of the park tickets is not included in the package offer. I am being told the park tickets have to be purchased separately. Is anyone hearing this? Have you been able to purchase this package with the base park ticket included?

ok...it think i get it....still is a good deal...but not sure I can clear enough days in a row at work since it so last minute. maybe i will come down with something...

We went ahead and booked it anyway. Couldn't pass up that deal!!!!!:yay:
Now I have to make reservations for FREE DINING!!!!:yay:

Here is the email I got (edited) for this pin code. Cant use it, already have two trips planned for next year. :sad1:

Also, I have seen several posts asking how to get them which everyone has responded that it is unknown. We received our first one this summer when we requested the planning CD. I just requested custom maps last week from the Disney site and we received this new code yesterday.

Seems like a correlation.

Thanks for posting this. I was able to find the e-mail in my gmail account by searching for vacation@registration.disneyworld.com. It was sending these emails to my trash.

I checked the free dining, and for the week we're in Disney (Oct. 2-6) the $59/night is a much better deal.

4 adults - $349/room only
4 adults - $788/"free dining"

Still a good deal for those already purchasing the package.

Quick question. I know that PIN Codes are tied to the family name on the offer, but are they tied to the physical address?

My sister (same last name) got an email PIN code for the Sept/Oct Free dininig. Ie it says "Dear XXXX Family".

Since I have the same last name, can I use her code? And now, we don't live on the same street, however on the same town and state.

We were going down in Nov, but might make it shorter and go in Oct. (provided we get airfare anyway).

TIA...

I know this seems to be the million dollar question. I have Disney Visa, have subscribed to as many disney things as I possibly can, requested the CD, did customized maps, etc. etc. etc.. Still No PIN. Am I just the UN luckiest person in the world or what? Or is there something I am missing. I wanna code! sorry..... just needed to vent.:goodvibes

I've done all of those things and I have a Disney Visa also and I've never gotten the "magical" email or the pin code.

I want a code too!!!! =( I got an email from Disney Destinations today, hoping it was a pin but it was just a welcome email because I had just signed up! I have been to Disney over 12 times!! Why no code??? Does it come from Disney Destinations only and through email only?? If I haven't gotten one already, is there a chance I still could??? We are going 10/4-10/11!

I didn't get an email, but I called anyway and asked if I was eligible for the free dining since we'll be there Oct. 4th - 11th and I was able to get $270.76 off of my total package!
It will be 2 adults, preferred room at POP Century, 7 nights, 8 day park hopper water park and more option, and we already had the basic dining plan booked.
I had used the general code several weeks ago when those came out and got about $400 off my package, and now I called today and got the additional $270 off. I am not sure how it all works, but I know that's what I got! :thumbsup2 Good luck to everyone else!!!

I just skimmed through this thread but if you see a $10 differance its because within 14 days any modifications have an automatic processing fee

OK, here's a twist! My DSIL got this code email this am. The twist is that it has my name is on it! :confused3 Usually I'm the one who books our vacations, but this had my name & her email????? We were thinking of meeting for a short vacation 9/28, so who books it??? Can it be used for only 3 nights? Plus, we have APs & don't need the tickets. It states that the tickets are 1 park tickets that expire 14 days after the first time it's used. Soooooo can you save them for a future trip? Do the tickets have your name on them or can a family member use them? Lots of questions.....never got a code before!!! Any thoughts???

If his name is in your "household" he can book, otherwise you have to book. You can book as many nights as are available with the often, doesnt have to be 3. You still need at least a one day base ticket for everyone but they dont expire if you dont use them so save them to renew your AP's. They will have your names on them since theyll be on your KTTW cards but Im not sure if anyone can use them if you have them removed from the key...

Well, my sister-in-law lives in MS so she's not in my household & her last name is different than mine!:rotfl: Do I correct the email??? I do receive other info from Disney at my email, so I don't know why the confusion. Perhaps I'll call tomorrow & find out exactly what I can & cannot do. If I'm told anything interesting, I'll post it!

I just got this code for free dining and it included dates in nov and dec. I just booked for pop 11/9-11/14 we will be there for dds birthday! DH is coming home from iraq next month and this is perfect timing!!!!!
