We just got home last week. We had the best time! Thanks to everybody for all the tips - I was "armed with information" when I arrived! LOL!
We stayed at Cypress Pointe (Phase 1) and it is REALLY nice. We were shocked when we walked in our room. For $65 a night, we weren't expecting a lot, but we were pleasantly suprised. We rented a two bedroom villa. The kitchen was a lifesaver - so was the washer and dryer!
We did Busch Gardens in Tampa for two days first. They measure my daughter for the Montu, and told her she was 53 and one half inches, and could not ride. I measured her before we left, and she was 54 and one half inches. Needless to say, she was upset! When we got to Universal a few days later, they measured her and said she had a half inch to spare! So at least she got to ride the Hulk, and Dueling Dragons, because that is all she has talked about for months! She is 8, BTW!
I really enjoyed Sea World - especially The Shamu Show. We waited in line for an hour for Atlantis, which was pretty cool. We saw two ladies pass out while waiting in line. It was pretty hot - and both of these poor ladies were really pale. We waited in line for 5 minutes to ride The Kraken - which is AWESOME!
Universal and IOA? What can I say?? Time of my life... We rode everything! The Mummy is really high tech special effects.. When the scarabs come out of the wall.. brrr... The lady checking express passes was being really mean to everyone in line. We heard her yell at 5 people while we were waiting in line. Bad day?? If I had to pick one favorite, it would have to be The Hulk! With Spiderman and Dueling Dragons tied for second.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree in Destin, The Drury in downtown New Orleans, and The Isle of Capri in Bossier City on the way home.
We really enjoyed our time, but were glad to be home. My cute little dog jumped into the car, and refused to get out! She didn't want us to leave her again!
Here are some pictures of my family! Enjoy!
