Rental Car - in two weeks

Has anyone come across any good deals for rental cars? We are headed to Disney in two weeks and are still looking. Thanks !

AAA and Kayak. I have a car booked with each. Alamo on both. AAA was $550 for an Audi sedan and Kayak an Audi SUV for $500, six nights. Standard SUV's were high $400's. I tend to book, find a better deal and then cancel until the trip.

www.autoslash.com is the best for publicly available rates. If you don't have one Costco membership can pay for itself with a single rental. Same with AARP. I pay the $12/year for AARP just for the discounts. AAA if you already have it, rarely does it save enough to be worth paying the membership fee just for the rental.

I have been using Turo (like Airbnb for cars) and paying half the rental rates. You have to figure out how topick up or pay a fee for airport typically, and take the time for a lot of pictures at pick up and drop, but it is worth it.

It can be, but you must be aware of the limitations. Most credit cards and some car insurances view it as something other than a rental and you may not be covered. The condition of the vehicle may not be accurately described, and you don't really have much of a recourse. There can be additional fees that reputable rental car agencies don't charge. There are some places I would try it, but I don't think MCO would be it. I'll stick with the major car rental chains.

Many credit cards do not provide any coverage or if they do it is secondary to your own car insurance. Cars are in terrible condition at off brand rentals.

I have had 6 successful Turo rentals now. I know exactly what car, age, and features. I can read reviews on that specific car to know if it is in bad shape or if the renter is unreliable - worst cast I have seen is renters who cancel unexpectedly, so don't choose one that did that. Insurance is offered in several tiers. The pictures process protects you from claims of returning damaged or dirty. There are no unexpected fees except one. All shown at checkout, and tolls will be billed after rental for the exact price,

3 Choices:
Name brand, pay big price, low risk
Off brand, mid price, risky, unexpected fees, pressure to buy insurance (these are simply awful and many people are trying them and hate the experience - read the reviews!)
Turo, mid price, no unexpected fees, no pressure, low risk

If you can afford to go to WDW and rent a car, you can afford to rent at a reputable agency.
I view Turo, just like I view AirBnB or ULCC air carriers. As long as you are aware of the possible pitfalls, and you've done the research to see if the savings is really worth it, they're fine when everything goes well.
I just looked, I have a trip to Orlando next month with a rental booked with National. With Turo, the cost of a rental is $281, plus I believe I'm going to have to pay to get it out of the parking garage. I'm paying $305 with Aisle access so the smallest vehicle I'm getting is the Camry being offered. The $15-20 savings is not worth it to me.
