Hey guys and gals...

My girlfriend and I are debating between WP and SBP. We are going down in March for the Bridal Showcase and will tour the Ceremonies, however we wanted to see some pictures of others weddings in either place.

Any suggestions or personal taste is welcome. I'm for WP, as I'm a traditional type, however she is more of the outdoor, public setting type.

Thanks!

I have some pictures of Sea Breeze Point weddings here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/sea-breeze-point/

You might also poke around in the photos thread stuck at the top of this forum, as well as the planning journals and completed trip reports for more real-wedding shots! :thumbsup2

One thing to know about Sea Breeze Point is that it is on a public path—in another thread you mentioned not wanting lookyloos at your wedding. DFTW is not going to let people wander up to your ceremony, but passersby may stop along the path to gawk (I know I would! :teeth: ). For some people the site feels too public.

Here is one - there are a few more in my PJ, linked in my signature:

Totally understandable about it being so public.. I'm going both ways, I guess I gotta see it in March. I'm super excited. I really don't mind either way honestly. I just am a traditional type.

Thank you for the pics! They are amazing!

Daisy,

We are estimating between 40-50 are almost a lock. Disney's website says up to 100 are able to fit in SBP. Is this possible? Will it look bad if too many people are cramped inside? How (if at all) does the look change with that many people?

Thanks!

We got married at Sea Breeze point last November. It is a really beautiful spot to get married. I've posted a couple of photographs of the site and a couple of what it looked like during our wedding.

People do stop to look but they are quite a way back so it's not particularly intrusive and they were all pleasant and smiling.

Good luck with your planning, I'm sure whatever you decide you will have the most wonderful time.

I really love that one.

I guess in the long run, I don't *mind* having people around, looking, curious. I just don't want people trying to get in on the action. Then again, we are going to have 'uninvited guests' at the reception! haha!

One of the reasons I loved SBP is because ppl could stop and watch. I am paying enough money to have my wedding and I want everyone to see me. Here are some pics of our Jan. 4th wedding. Sorry the pics are small but if you click them they will show you a bigger version. =D

Did you have the 5 pm time slot? We want 5 pm in November and I'm nervous about us being blinded by the sun before it goes behind the Swan/Dolphin. I've visited it at that time in November, but I'm curious how it was during the actual ceremony and if you noticed it.

There was lots of room left in the gazebo, we only had 16 people...the chairs were set up in sets of 4, so 8 people on each side. You could easily have 5 rows of 5 chairs on each side without it looking cramped I think, which would give you the 50 you need...it's a beautiful space!

There are several members of staff at your ceremony and they would not let anyone interrupt or get too near. If it really is something you are worried about though the WP is extremely private and incredibly beautiful. :)

DoomBuggy0922 - I love how with decoration you can create almost any look at SBP, it really is such a beautiful spot.

princesswendy270 - We did indeed have the 5pm slot as we wanted a sunset wedding. I can't say we really noticed the sun, I think you're too busy thinking "OMG this is it!" to even notice if the venue was on fire :rotfl:

I personally loved the sunset it gives such a warm romantic glow to everything and you also have the bonus of a few night time shots too. I'd say go for it.
