See the new pictures - kinda creepy. Would you expect anything less from Tim Burton?

Does Tim Burton know that there are other actors out there besides Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp?

Thanks for the pics! I am REALLY looking forward to this I am a HUGE Alice fan (when I was in high school I was an even bigger Alice fan). I think Tim Burton just enjoys working with those particular actors, that is why he chooses to put them in his films. Plus, he IS married to Helena Bonham Carter...so....

freaky, but that's what i expect from him and why I like him.....i get tired of all the other crap movies out there with no originality. at least this will be interesting. I am a huge Alice fan as well and looking forward to his spin on it. I am not a big HBC fan, but oh well, Johnny more than makes up for that.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I had to look at it several times. I still don't see Johnny Depp at all!

With the exception of Edward Scissorhands I have loved everything that Burton and Depp have done together. I think the original story was a little darker than the Disney version anyway and am looking forward to what they do with it.

Me too! I seriously don't know if I will be able to go see this movie with Johhny in it looking like that. Or really no matter who it was, it is just freaky looking Johhny or not.

I think it's the smile (which looks different from most of Depp's grins) and the wide eyes. I didn't have that thought until you mentioned it, but once you did I couldn't believe I missed the resemblance.

I am usually not a fan of TB's work, but this seems to have been written for him to direct and conceptualize.

Carroll was a headtrip and so this should be the closest visualization of his ideas ever done.

This movies looks excellent! Matt Lucas (Little Britain) will be motion captured for Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, Stephan Fry (QI) will voice the Cheshire Cat - certainly a good selection of actors / actresess

I am excited and curious to see this one. Yes, the book is much creepier than the Disney movie, and Alice Through the Looking Glass is a really creepy one too, gave me nightmares as a kid. I think these were made for Tim Burton to re-create!
