Picture of the Day - Chatter Thread

2006-10-2618-33-43IMG_3360-1.jpg

Man, that makes me want to be there! What a perfect ending to the day (then and tonight)!

My thinking is that she wasn't actually his wife, and he was afraid his wife might see the pictures on the internet. ;)

That makes a lot of sense. Makes me think of the Shamu show when they get ready to put crowd shots up on the big screen, they always warned the audience first in case you were there with someone you didn't want to be photographed with!!!:lmao: There was certainly some issue there!!!!

I have seen on America's most wanted pictures of some of the fugitives on vacation at WDW. Another possibility.:scared1:

That golf cart looks like something Mr. Rorke would have driven around on Fantasy Island. I wonder if those seats are made of rich Corinthian leather?
:rotfl2: It's not a Cordova. Hey Boss..de plane de plane.

Well I don't want to hijack this thread in yet another debate, but it is photo related.

I don't know what his problem was. They both came up to me while I was taking a picture of my DD and her DF in front of the Castle. He asked me if I took a picture of his wife. I gestured toward the girls, and he said I mean earlier. I said I don't know. They were both very angry. She demanded to see the pictures I had taken. I was thinking, OK they are going to try and grab my camera. But I let her look as I kept the strap around my neck and never let it go. She went through the whole card, and never found anything. They didn't apologize or anything, and as they left my DD heard her saying to him something to the affect of 'that's what happened last time.'

Like I said I mentioned this on the Pic of the Day thread too, because some photos of strangers were posted. I had never thought twice about who might be in a shot, and have even taken pictures of people who caught our attention for whatever reason. Since this I have been a little gun shy. My DW wasn't there, and asked me if she was a celebrity or something. I don't think so.

Of all the places in the world to go and not want your picture taken, WDW is not it. Even if I had taken a picture of her, for whatever reason, it wasn't like she was dressed immodestly or something he would have been worried about. I don't know. The response on the other thread was pretty much that anyone is fair game when at the parks, and no one else would have given them a look at the camera.

Wanna bet they had something to hide....like they were not there with their own spouses???hummmmmmmmmm????????????Sounds very fishy to be worrying about something so trivial... :rotfl2:

That's simply awesome! Does anyone mind if I start copying these pictures? Not the personal family ones, I'll leave your loved ones in peace. I'd just love to have the FW scenes as part of my screensaver revolving picture collection. (Shannone, can I get your permission to save the one of your daughter canoing since she's facing the other direction?) Thanks everyone for my daily dose of Fort Wilderness. AAAAAhhhhhhhhhh!!

I don't mind, I think that saving these photos for an album or screensaver, whatever is a great idea!!!

Loved the photo from the boat with the castle in the back! Thank you for posting it! What time of day was this with the fireworks?

Hmmm..This was while we were waiting for our table at Crystal Palace. Our ressies were for 6:55 and this was the end of the show. I don't know what they called it...it was a show with the characters right in front of the castle and there were a few fireworks at the very end.

That's the show with all the Princess'. Not sure of the name of it but I saw it too when we were there last month. These pics make me want to just hook up and go to the fort. I have a few more weeks until our June 1 departure.

Thanks Shannone for taking pics of all my fave spots and rubbing them in my face LOL. What site did you have at FW? When we go in June I'll take a pic of it and post it for you with a sign that says Shannone was here. Just kidding you. I look forward to all the new pics we see.

Donnie

The show was once Cinderellabration, but it is now a show called Dream Along with Mickey.

Man I miss that slide. Actually, the thing I miss most from River Country were the zip lines, you used to be able to grab onto a handle and zip from one part of the water to the other, and then just let go and fall a few feet into the water.

That, and they used to have this T-shaped arm that you would grab onto, push off, and it would swing around, and when it got halfway around it would stop suddenly and throw you off.

That place was so much fun!

I was at FW one time when RC was open. We didn't go. Wish we had now.:sad1:

It looked fun but the water was to damn cold for my taste our family doesn't swim unless the water is mid 70's to low 80's our old pool in our yard was always kept at 87. This is why I am glad they have the real waterpars now and the heated pools although I hear the pools at FW are kept a tad cooler than the rest of the resorts not sure if this is true or not but I won't swim in the pools at FW just for that reason true or not I am not going to test it out LOL.

My family always went to River Country, we loved it and always had a great time.

Cold means nothing when you are a kid!!! lol ;)

LOL it does to my kids who are 10 5 and 4 LOL. I guess they get that from me. Cold water is a no no for us when it comes to swimming or waterslides.
