Man, that makes me want to be there! What a perfect ending to the day (then and tonight)!
My thinking is that she wasn't actually his wife, and he was afraid his wife might see the pictures on the internet.![]()
That makes a lot of sense. Makes me think of the Shamu show when they get ready to put crowd shots up on the big screen, they always warned the audience first in case you were there with someone you didn't want to be photographed with!!!There was certainly some issue there!!!!
That golf cart looks like something Mr. Rorke would have driven around on Fantasy Island. I wonder if those seats are made of rich Corinthian leather?
Well I don't want to hijack this thread in yet another debate, but it is photo related.
I don't know what his problem was. They both came up to me while I was taking a picture of my DD and her DF in front of the Castle. He asked me if I took a picture of his wife. I gestured toward the girls, and he said I mean earlier. I said I don't know. They were both very angry. She demanded to see the pictures I had taken. I was thinking, OK they are going to try and grab my camera. But I let her look as I kept the strap around my neck and never let it go. She went through the whole card, and never found anything. They didn't apologize or anything, and as they left my DD heard her saying to him something to the affect of 'that's what happened last time.'
Like I said I mentioned this on the Pic of the Day thread too, because some photos of strangers were posted. I had never thought twice about who might be in a shot, and have even taken pictures of people who caught our attention for whatever reason. Since this I have been a little gun shy. My DW wasn't there, and asked me if she was a celebrity or something. I don't think so.
Of all the places in the world to go and not want your picture taken, WDW is not it. Even if I had taken a picture of her, for whatever reason, it wasn't like she was dressed immodestly or something he would have been worried about. I don't know. The response on the other thread was pretty much that anyone is fair game when at the parks, and no one else would have given them a look at the camera.
Loved the photo from the boat with the castle in the back! Thank you for posting it! What time of day was this with the fireworks?
Man I miss that slide. Actually, the thing I miss most from River Country were the zip lines, you used to be able to grab onto a handle and zip from one part of the water to the other, and then just let go and fall a few feet into the water.
That, and they used to have this T-shaped arm that you would grab onto, push off, and it would swing around, and when it got halfway around it would stop suddenly and throw you off.
That place was so much fun!
