Pickup at Old Key West

We're going to be doing a one day trip to Tampa to visit with some old friends. I am wondering what might be the cheapest way for us to get a rental car? Since we're on Disney property (Old Key West) with no transportation out, we need to have something that we can easily get to, or use a company that will deliver a car. Any ideas? Is there a car rental agency abutting Disney, or better yet, inside? This would be for pickup around noon on 12/11/04 returning it around the same time on 12/12/04. I really don't want to have to rent a car for the whole week for this.

National has agencies at the Dolphin and at the car care center. I had planned to do this on my January trip, and take the bus there. I have read that there are other agencies that will pick you up.

There are also other agencies at the Downtown Disney hotels--I think Avis??

We used Alamo at the Car Care Center a couple of years ago. The shuttle will pick you up, take you to the Car Care Center to get your car and drop you off anywhere on Disney property when you return the car. We called the day before to schedule the pickup. Very easy and convenient.

Excellent. I wasn't aware of the existence of the Car Care Center, but we'll be renting from Alamo at that location. I was able to get a $22.99 rate for a compact, $27.xx estimated total.
