Good morning, Pickles. I've missed you all the last couple of weeks. Work has been so hectic; Markie had his surgery, we've been making arrangements for Mark's back surgery in July and planning our Florida trip in September. We got really great airfare -- $398 round trip total for both of us. It was so great that we've decided we are going to Disney for four nights like last year. And, yes, you guessed right...we'll be at home at the CSR!!!!! We can't wait. And what's even better about the trip is that Nicki (of MickeyNicki here at the DIS--the food porn queen) may be joining us for a couple of the days at Disney. Mark won't be able to ride the "big" rides because of his surgery, so I'll have Nicki to ride the rides with and drink with and she'll help Mark eat all the wonderful goodies around World Showcase. I'm so excited that I can't stand it.

Well … hello everyone. It’s been a while – sorry I’ve been out of pocket.

This school year has been tough on me … mostly all self imposed.

My yearbook is finally closed out (last week) – what a relief. Maybe I can get my life back now.

Hope you all have been well … I have been thinking of you all, even though I have not been on the DIS in quite a while.

Kathy glad to hear Mark’s surgery went well.

Heather – happy for you that the cruise is paid off.

Well crap. Why am I getting random notifications from here? Kat - I didn't realize that you had posted. I guess the thread is pretty much dead so don't bother to come here. I'm sorry. I am so happy that you get to see Mickey again and meet up with your friend, Niki. I totally understand your excitement! It's always nice to have a vacation to look forward to after a very stressful year. I'm going to have to run away for a whole month. lol

And Janet - fancy seeing you here again! Got your password issue sorted out, huh? I told you before that you need to slow down, girl! Stop and smell the roses for awhile before you self inflict. Get on Facebook!!

I just keep it as a subscribed thread (I don't get email notificiatioins) and I just check every day. I don't mind hanging around here...but don't know where everyone else has been.

Strawberry Soup Recipe from
1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian

2 lb., 8 oz. strawberries (frozen variety, thawed with juice)
16 oz. heavy cream
2 oz. sour cream
3 oz. plain yogurt
8 oz. fresh strawberries

1. Mix first four ingredients.
2. Beat slowly until well mixed and a smooth consistency.
3. Chill; shake well before serving.
4. Add fresh strawberries as garnish

Soooooo...I'm sitting here with my Dell lemon of a laptop - which is now taped together with electrical tape so the frame around the screen will not pop off. It keeps falling apart - guts and frame.

How is everyone doing? Busy with life, no doubt.

Your laptop sounds like it's in the same condition as my step daughter's. I think she has silver duct tape though. Sounds stylin'!

Don't you bookmark threads of interest? That way, you can see who has posted last. Much more reliable than notifications that work about 25% of the time. I gave up after awhile.

Mine has black tape against a silver frame - ever so classy.

Yep, I do bookmark on the DIS, but have so many it takes time to sort through and find one....especially if it falls off the first page. Guess it is time to clean out the bookmarks.
