Yeah yeah. Whatev!

ASMovies is the only one available for cheap. Blech.

Actually, a fellow Diser who I am friends with (and met last month for the first time when she was here in Chicago) stayed there this year and she said it was very nice. It's only one night...that's not too bad.

You know, you're right. $59 to sleep for about five or six hours. I'm gonna book it! :thumbsup2

Okay girls... Is anyone going down in October say.. the 23, 24th???? Cause I am going to be there.

Oh, Bless his heart. RIP, Patrick. :littleangel:

He held on for a long time for that kind of cancer.

So sad. May God be with his family ...he will be so missed.

Evenin' Pickles,
I tried to get on the DIS earlier ... but the system was hanging up, so I called Christine instead!

I had to work late tonight ... 7:45pm  it was a very busy day.

Guess I'll have to catch up with you all tomorrow.

Kathy~thanks for the info on the Rose & Crown, its good to know that you have had good experiences in the past.

We've eaten at Rose & Crown several time - we've had nice servers, but food has ranged from good to so-so. If you get a "table with a view" it sure is nicer, but I understand they will no longer accept such requests. we never requested an outside table (the ones on the lower level that so many seem to want), but we have asked for one by the lake side and that's never been a problem.

I'm still tired, but think it's a feminine/hormonal thing going on. Am going to make an app't with a herbalist - going the holistic route first. Fingers crossed for me, my friends.

Kathy - 3 DAYS!!!!!! :woohoo: :dance3: :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:

Christine ~ thanks for your info on the Rose & Crown too ~ I think we will keep this ADR. I believe we will have enough time to eat and make Illuminations (I would love to be able to see it from the restaurant though). Chistine/Kathy ~ any food recommendations? I was probably going to do the fish & chips.

I'm glad you are going to make an appt with a herbalist. I will see if my friend here has any info that I can pass along.

Sorry hon. Not this chickie. Three trips this year is enough fo me!! :rotfl:

WHAT??? You are not going back for New Year's??? I'm actually considering this - has anyone been there at this time? How back is it?

No family emergency, just WDW help!!! We've not been able to snag POP for our dares for the Fall code or Free dining. Have tried a highly recommended TA and no had luck either (they have the same info we do, but on the phone or on line with Disney more). Although I asked if she would be willing to keep checking, but said it would not help - I will not give up as we all know availability changes all the time. :thumbsup2

Sooo...we turn to our pickles to through loads of dust our way, please!!

Thank you!! Fingers crossed!! :cheer2:

I would definitely eat there again - sure, not one of the best, but always enjoy it. They always have the Fish n Chips, but do check out the menu for some British specialities - the menu does change, so not sure what it is this year. We LOVED the meat pie, but that was gone last time.

It is, of course, incredibly festive - as long as you are prepared for body to body crowds, literally and may maybe not go to a park on NYE's ...but lots of folks do and feel the massive crowds are part of the festivities. :)

After one 4th of July week, will not be going over another major holiday in my lifetime! :rotfl2:

Will be expensive, but fun, Janet!!! Happy planning!! :goodvibes

Mark really liked the Bangers & Mash and he also really liked the Tamarind-glazed Pork Loin. He also LOVED the beer sampler--it's like 7 or 8 little beer glasses with different beers.

Oh, I so wish...October 24th is Martina's Birthday....I would love for her to be able to spend her birthday in WDW!

Morning Pickles!
My Chris is home today...not feeling well. He actually seems a little better now, and has kept down some soup, but was praying to the porcelain God as the bus was pulling up to the stop. I was very proud of Martina for getting on the bus by herself. I was worried she'd be scared without him there, but she did fine.

The Christmas break is not really when I would want to go ... but our school district has very few days off in the school year ... my choices are limited if I try to go before the school year is over, without having them miss school or limit the days they miss. I have made my promise to Samantha (plus I will want to go back to see Mickey!!). The plus is that my niece is going over the holidays so I would be able to see her, but I'm afraid of how much it will cost me. Oh well, I can wait until the end of June to go as well and not have it affect school. Crowds or heat, my choices, right??

Mark really liked the Bangers & Mash and he also really liked the Tamarind-glazed Pork Loin. He also LOVED the beer sampler--it's like 7 or 8 little beer glasses with different beers.

The pork loin sounds good too ~ hmmm, maybe the 3 of us will have to try the beer sampler:)

Heather ~ sorry that Chris is not feeling well ... could be that bug that Samantha had that kept her out of the first day of school. Hope he feels better soon. Good for Martina! :thumbsup2

Okay, I've been kinda of chatty ... I have to take a break and do some work:) Be back later!

Forgot to add ....

3 MORE DAYS FOR KATHY !!! :woohoo::woohoo:

12 for ME!!!
