Picking up rental car at MCO

We are arriving at MCO in November and are renting a car from dollar rent a car. We are arriving on a jet blue flight at around 7pm. Is the dollar rent a car counter right in the airport or do we have to take a shuttle and drag all of our luggage with us to the rental counter? Anyone have any suggestions for renting from another rental car agency?? Thanks, Linda

The MCO airport has a great website and lists all of the on-site agencies that have locations in the airport with no shuttle required:

Personally, I do not care for Dollar/Thrifty.

Dollar and Thrifty are in the airport. Their rental counter is on the level below the baggage claim. After you leave the rental counter you walk out the doors and across to the parking garage (very close) where you pick up your vehicle.

You wil be fine with Dollar in the airport, no shuttle. And they one of our favorite agencies.

Our last trip the luggage was delayed due yo a thunderstorm, so I checked-in at the rental counter (because you have to go out to pick up the car) while DH got the luggage. This way once we got our bags, it was right out to the car. Divide and conquer

Yeah, baggage claim is level 2 (unless you get the ones that are downstairs) and rental cars on are on level 1.

Check in at counters and walk across the street to the garage.

Be sure to sign up for Dollar Express and add it to your reservation. The last time we were there we were able to bypass the terminal counter and go straight to the parking garage, very fast and efficient.
