Hi Guys:

Does anyone have photos of the fireworks at the Grand Floridian Marina? Unfortunately, because of the time I am getting married, I cannot have a dessert part at MGM or Epcot :sad2: Instead, we are having a desert party at the Grand Floridian Marina, which has a view of the Castle, to watch the Wishes Fireworks. I just wanted to know if anyone has seen this done or have pictures of it and what they thought of it.

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to hear the music, either piped in or some other way? (somehow I doubt it, but hey, you never know :confused3 )

You guys are the greatest,

Thanks.

I have never seen it in person or done it, but I know there are others on here who have done the GF Marina Dessert Parties -- and I am pretty sure I have seen pics --so you might try doing a search. If I remember correctly you can have the music piped in but it's an additional cost. I am sure someone will have more specific info for you. I think the GF Marina would be a beautiful place for the party. That's what I originally wanted but was told as an intimate I had to do Epcot or MGM!! HTH !

We did our welcome party at the Marina. We could see the fireworks, just fine. I don't really have pics, all the ones I took are too dark to see much. And I used the wrong setting for fireworks so they're mostly colored mush, so not much to show. Everyone there though LOOOOOVED it. We got massive raves for it. Especally the whole privatness of it. We didn't look into the music, so we couldn't hear it, but we had no complaints. I've also heard you can have it pipped in for a fee. I want to say $300 but I could be wrong. The other thing you can do from the marina is you can mostly see the water parade. We had the butler tell us when it was time, and we all walked up the sidewalk about 50 yards or so and watched the parade, then we headed back to our tables, to hang out somemore and wait for Wishes.

Janet had a welcome party at the GF Marina the night before her vow renewal. Check out this post to see her photos.

Hope this helps!

JDMasso, I’m not sure what sort of FTW you’re having so I have to offer this warning…

The rules changed earlier in the year and you need to be a Custom in order to have a party at the Grand Floridian on the day of your wedding. If you search these boards, you’ll find posts on this topic.

If you are a Custom bride, your Sales/Event Manager should easily be able to answer your questions. The Grand Floridian is a lovely place to hold a wedding event.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments. I feel much better about my dessert part at the GF Marina. I kept seeing so many pictures of the dessert parties at Epcot and MGM, and they all looked so beautiful, I was scared the GF Marina would not be as nice, but I can see that it is (thanks to Janet's great photos :thumbsup2 )

I actually have the contract signed and I'm ready to go, I just needed some reassurance.

Thank you again
