We heavily utilized PhotoPass on our recent 12 day stay at WDW. I like that we can ALL be in the pictures! I pre-ordered the CD and the book so I made sure I got lots of pictures on there. I did...over 500!

Well, now I am back and first of all am disappointed to find that the pictures expire in 30 days from when they were taken! We were gone 2 weeks so our pictures from the first few days expire 2 weeks from when we got back. It takes time to go through that many pictures and add the borders and things and decided what to use in the book.

And now on top of that....the PhotoPass site has been down more than it has been up. I had planned on finishing up the book today and it is "unavailable" again right now!

UGH!

Call them they will extend them. Did you add the photopass numbers while on vacation? You have 30 days to add the numbers then they expire 30 days from that point unless something changed. 60 days total.

I added them while we were still there so my Mom could see them back home. I didn't realize they expired so quickly!

Do you know the number that I could call to extend them?

The site has been down ALL day today! I had hoped to work on the book today!

You should also write them and express your concerns. I understand they do it because they want to save serer space, but it is tough when you only have 30-day, work a full-time job, have church, kids, etc.

How many of you have asked for an extension? Do they ever turn you down? I am concerned about getting my money's worth!

I didn't end up calling. I got my stuff done just in time!

FYI - It IS worth the money if you try to get lots of pictures!

I had over 500 pictures they took. I had about 850 after I edited, added borders etc... (we were there 10 days)

I pre-purchased the CD and photobook for $149. Well worth it. If you buy the pictures they are very expensive, something like $15 for (2) 4x6. So the CD was worth the $99 and now I have the copyrights to the photos and can do whatever with them. The photobook was also a good buy. I paid $49 for a $79 product BUT I added over 30 extra pages. The total cost for just that came up to $137, but I entered my prepurchase code and it took the whole cost off. I didn't even have to pay for the extra pages! And I love it, it looks great.

So, in my opinion...worth the money, but work fast! LOL!

I asked for an extension via email and was given another month within 2 days.

If they know you are working on a project, I think they are very open to giving you extra time. They just don't want "dead" photos sitting on their server space.
