If you re-use an old one, be sure you know and can log on to the online account where it's registered. Pictures will automatically show up there the day they're taken, and the 30 day expiration period will start from that date.
You really don't need to reuse an old photopass card. All of the photographers have cards on them so just get a new one from the first photographer you get to take you picture.
But if they're re-using a card that's already been entered online, then the photos would show up right away (or within 24 hours), so the expiration period would effectively start right away. At least that's the way it's been with mine when I've re-used a card. I don't think the online account knows the first time I actually viewed them online...
For example, I recently re-used a card that was already registered with an online account. First day of taking photos was July 3, but I didn't have internet access on the trip and first viewed the pictures online on July 10. The first pictures have an expiration date of Aug 2, which is 30 days from the date the picture was taken - not when I first viewed it online. Does that make sense, or am I really missing something?
I just wanted to make the OP aware that the pictures could have an earlier expiration date then they may have expected by re-using a card.

There could be a reason to re-use a card... For example, we had a cute one custom-made with our photo on it, and it's fun to use and get comments from CM's taking the photos. It also assures that we're getting our own card back and not another one that the CM mixed up!
