I keep seeing the world through my scavenger hunt glasses these days. The other day I saw a person with a tatoo driving a jeep with a dog and a perfect reflection in their back window. I need a tatoo but I was afraid to try to take his photo.

I keep seeing the world through my scavenger hunt glasses these days. The other day I saw a person with a tatoo driving a jeep with a dog and a perfect reflection in their back window. I need a tatoo but I was afraid to try to take his photo.

My DH wants to know if there is a 12 step program for this addiction!?!
I left to go buy milk this morning and I had to grab my camera before I left - he asked why I was carrying my camera to get milk - REALLY - you have to ask!?!? I need a picture of a holstein of course!

I do want to say THANKS for organizing this - it has made me get my camera out more, view how unusual items can be photographed and has also help educate me! I confess - I had to google "holstein" to figure out what it meant!

This bridge is known as the Jericho Covered Bridge (It is on Jericho Road). It spans the Little Gunpowder Falls connecting Baltimore and Harford Counties in the state of Maryland. It was originally built in 1865 at a cost of $3125.00 and has underwent several restorations with the most recent in 1983 at a cost of $280,000.00.

I know the photos are not so great but this was all the closer I could get at the time of the acton without getting my butt in trouble. Not to mention Im TERRIFIED of fire...

The story:
So Im sound asleep when my door buzzer goes off. Its 445 am so I thought it was a prank but got up and headed to the deck door. So I hear two women yelling "HELLO" so I asked them if they were locked out. THey procede to tell me theres a
car on fire right behind our building. Well I panic (like usal), pull on some pants and dart outside. There was tons of smoke and a huge flame. Well, eventully it looked under controll so i went for the camera. No one has any clue how it started.

Ditto on the THANKS! I'm a complete novice on the dSLR...I purchased it in April for my May trip. When I came home, I was so glad to find this thread because it's actually made me go out and about photographing and LEARNING about my new camera ..... and about Holsteins!

for starting this scaven as others have already said, I haven't been able to get out & about so am looking forward to participating in the next one BUT I am so happy to be touring the world through the eyes of others. Places and things I would never get to see in my lifetime. and things I am learning about how to take good photographs...FUN

Special mention to the poster that had the St James General Store on Long Island NY for the memory (I should have PM'd when I first saw it) my Dad & I used to go there all the time when they baked homemade chocolate chip cookies (45 yrs ago ) I can still hear those creaking wooden floor boards
