Shushh - What fantastic shots! I love the colour that you're getting in Sydney. Melbourne's a bit drab at the moment.....

BBQ Shack* I think this one qualifies! Replaces the previous Lost in Translation attempt

Bird with Buoy* I know everyone is getting Bird ON Buoy - but the item does state "Bird (with Buoy)":rotfl2:. Hoping for a better shot of Bird ON Buoy before the end of the games

Battlefield site**
4756899633_746c79ddd7.jpg

I originally submitted this photo for navy ship. However, upon research, I discovered that the site is a naval battle site. The ships in the photo are docked at Garden island, where the Japanese attacked Sydney Harbour by sea with midget submarines on 31 May/1 Jun 1942. The Japanese had hoped to sink an American heavy cruiser, the USS Chicago but hit an Australian ship, the HMAS Kuttabul, instead. Nineteen Australian and two British sailors on the Kuttabul died.

I know that the list has battlefield site, just wanted to check if a broader interpretation of the word battlefield as an area where a battle is fought is ok. If this is acceptable, then I will submit another photo of a navy ship, if not it is ok!

Vibrant The bridge aglow, bathed in the light of the setting sun. It is usually a green/grey colour!

Shussh, your pictures are lovely.

The bird has to be on the buoy (I was trying to be as succinct as possible in my wording so the list looked simple and neat, but the intent was clear), and the train has to be a real train. (Your tram might fit another category, though.) I will accept the photo for battlefield site if you can show some type of plaque that describes event with it, or link.

So much for setting up the Thomas train set :rolleyes1

Thank you for the answers to my questions, Pea-n-Me. If you have a moment, could you let me know your thoughts on whether the inuksuk (I have it under historical landmarks) would fit there?

Thank you for all the time you are putting into this!

If you mean fit under historical landmarks, I'd have to say yes. My DH knew just what it was when he looked at it. (I do believe your pics are a bit of a sensation - we don't get to see 'dem parts too much! :goodvibes )

I'm actually quite grateful for this hunt! The things that have begun to look rather boring (brown, white, blue) are interesting again, as I look at them from a different view, and seek out new things. All of a sudden the clouds one day grab my attention, the building being ripped down next door is exciting instead of annoying.... And it's so much nicer to "just go outside" when I have a mission! Now, what are the chances of roughly 1000 miles of train track being built before September? ;) Maybe the train could bring a fair? Because that would be most helpful! :rotfl:

Spent the day with Ruthie yesterday at Animal Kingdom and got a few more.

ToadI know this isn't the best photo, but it was funny watching that big 'ol guy trying to get up on that rock. He really struggled.

Moose I hope this counts.

Camp site

Empty And how often do you see the area around the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom, this empty.

Bridge I just decided to throw this in here. I had never seen this bridge from this area before.

Rollercoaster (View from Top) I wasn't sure which one to use, this is from Expedition Everest. The first is the view of the park from the top;

But, this is the actual top of EE:

Oops, my reply about Buoy with Bird was to PrincessinOz, not shussh.

:rotfl2:. I haven't counted it in my official tally. I knew the intent....:rolleyes1. I waited and waited and waited and waited and finally saw that bird flying towards a buoy ... and then he landed in the water :headache:

I plan on getting bird ON buoy before 1 Sept...somehow!
