Photographing Pets

Thank you all for posting such awesome pictures! I'm glad it's finally warming up here, so I can go and actually get some creative shots at the zoo! :goodvibes

Here are some of mine (fantastic pictures on this thread BTW!).

Cross dressing dog. :lmao: Something tells me he had a little help.

Pea-n-me - my new camera is a Sony H5. I've been experimenting with different settings to see what works best on a sunny day on the snow. So far Auto seems best. These pictures were taken with the "Beach" scene mode.

funhouse8 - yes, he was beautiful. It's so hard when we lose them.

jacksonsmom - yeah, I think Herbie's message is clear. :rotfl2:

All of the pets are so cute!

Finally looked at all four pages of this thread. I am in awe. These are some amazing shots. Just told DH - "I wanna go to the zoo"!

Great job everyone.

These are a few of my favorites from our trip to St Thomas and St John, USVI this past summer, some taken underwater, some on land.

While Barry is not my pet...I did take the photos in my signature. :)

I like that picture of Max, too. Pretty green eyes.

I'd be happy to help, Cookie. My dog is handsome, but I'm not much of a photographer.

Not exactly wild kingdom, but there were a ton o' ducks around the lake thsi morning.

CookieGVB----Let me know what file sizes you need and I'd be happy to send you a CD of my best pet images with a release from me to use them for your project. I have 3 other cats and lots of great pictures of them. They are so good about posing for me!!!

Pea-n-Me and LilyLake-- thanks! It was those green eyes that got Max in my front door after DH rescued him from my car engine.

Here is a shot of my cat Boo Boo that always makes me laugh.

Wow...I never thought to get releases from anyone...though I have always stated that it should be pets only - thought I wouldn't need a release then (oops...)

Here's a link to the thread I've started on the CB

You can indicate either here or there if you'd like to have your pets in the calendar.

Thanks!

Pea'n'Me - what are your GSD's names?

Here's one of my daughter meeting one of my mom's horses. I probably should not have told her that the horse thought her blonde hair looked like hay. :rolleyes1

I was thinking more a release from the artist for you to reprint their work, not a model release.

Does the SPCA require me to have a release from my cats? :rotfl: Yeah. I guess I could rub their paw in some non toxic ink and stamp it on there!!! :rotfl2: THough they are underage so I would be their legal guardian so the paw inking my not be necessary! :lmao:

OK. I will be chuckling about this one all night.
