(Horsham, PA) I'm not quite sure how this happened, but last night just as the sun was setting, this is what I saw while driving home. I pulled over to snap a picture of it. Kind of strange ...

I'd say aircraft vapor trails. The right one appears to be the most recent aircraft passing. I fly a fair amount and since getting my DSLR I've chosen to sit by the window several times and shoot pictures to relieve the boredom. One of the first trips I got pictures of two other jets within minutes of each other going past us. Under certain conditions the sky would have appeared similar to the picture you took.

It's cool that you noticed and got the picture!

I got a Panasonic TZ-5 for Christmas and I was out a couple of nights ago testing it out. Here's a shot from the Baltimore Inner Harbor. I know it's not DSLR quality but it's not too shabby for a P&S on automatic settings without a tripod.

Yes! We're all but a mile from the Willow Grove Air Base. However, the thing that struck me was that they were SO far apart. Typically I see the aircraft in the same general vicinity and/or flying together in patterns. These were NOT close at all. That's really what caught my eye.

Luckily, since being at Disney over Christmas, I still keep my camera in my purse! ha!
