I second this thought. I never really considered IR photography but after seeing your work I've bumped it up on my priority list of equipment. When I ever get my camera upgraded (currently have a canon 300D) I'll look into converting it to IR. These IR shots by Gdad are really enlightening.
That has to be one of the best IR images I have ever seen (and unfortunately I have seen some real bad ones). The composition and the colors are amazing. Thanks for sharing!
... Just got my Tokina 11-16 today and took a couple test shots outside this afternoon ... I didn't do much, if any, post processing on these, and am very impressed with the lens so far
... next I'll have to try and tackle the HDR photos
Just in comparison, on the left is my 30 mm f/1.4 and the right my new Tokina (taken from the same spot in each pic)
Looks like an engine (probably a steam engine, though I cannot tell from the angle you have) used for powering other farm equipment (the two large wheels would have belts attaching them to other equipment like a baler or auger). Nice job on the processing!

Possibly. Again, it's hard to tell. I'm thinking about going by the farm when a docent is there and ask. Just curious ya know.
Thanks for the compliment.
I was near Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada two weeks ago when it was -35°F. I have a few pictures from my fisheye that make it look wicked cold...I'll try to remember to post them.
