Photo Sharing: Ultra Wide Angle

I have to strongly look into IR photography! I love the monorail photo as well, great work!

I second this thought. I never really considered IR photography but after seeing your work I've bumped it up on my priority list of equipment. When I ever get my camera upgraded (currently have a canon 300D) I'll look into converting it to IR. These IR shots by Gdad are really enlightening.

I've been thinking about moving up to the K5, when I do I am definitely sending my Kx in to be converted!

... Just got my Tokina 11-16 today and took a couple test shots outside this afternoon ... I didn't do much, if any, post processing on these, and am very impressed with the lens so far :thumbsup2

... next I'll have to try and tackle the HDR photos :rolleyes1

Just in comparison, on the left is my 30 mm f/1.4 and the right my new Tokina (taken from the same spot in each pic)

I don't know exactly what this is. If someone does, please let me know. Anyway, i thought it was cool and took a pic of it.

Looks like an engine (probably a steam engine, though I cannot tell from the angle you have) used for powering other farm equipment (the two large wheels would have belts attaching them to other equipment like a baler or auger). Nice job on the processing!

That's what I thought, but not for sure.

Possibly. Again, it's hard to tell. I'm thinking about going by the farm when a docent is there and ask. Just curious ya know.
Thanks for the compliment.

Could be an old Hay bailing machine, it vaguely (Very Vaguely) resembles the square bailing machines in use today.

The weird thing is that it was pretty warm (at least for us :thumbsup2), around -6 celsius - but super damp so we had some very wicked hoarfrost happening.

I was near Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada two weeks ago when it was -35°F. I have a few pictures from my fisheye that make it look wicked cold...I'll try to remember to post them.
