Photo Pass Plus - How long valid for?

We're going for three weeks but I have a feeling from what I've read that they are only valid for 2 weeks?
Is that right?
If so, I will activate the pass 4-5 days into our trip.

it is valid for 14 days BUT if you tell the CM that your stay is longer than that, they will extend it

we had it extended to 21 days on our last trip

some CM might ask you for proof of stay (such as a reservation printout), some will just take your word for it

just remember to mention it before the CM validates your PP+ card and kindly ask that it be extended to your last day (including that day)

As chmurf says, they will extend it. They did ask us for proof of length of stay and I had to present photo ID and our room keys. It was fairly new when we did it so I dont know if they are still so strict as someone I know who came back earlier this year said they were asked for proof of their park ticket duration (they were staying offsite) but did not have to produce photo ID.

They extended ours last week with seeing our room key with our check out date on it.

This is interesting. I emailed Disney about two weeks ago about this and they told me that it would only be 'plus' for the 14 days, but I could link normal photo pass photos for the rest of the time. This would mean no restaurant/ride photos for the last few days of our trip, but I didn't regard this as an issue. Now however, I will try and get it extended

I'm gutted, we did a 21 night stay last trip and when we asked about how long it would be for on activation they said only for the 14nights!! The boys was so upset on their last few days as they had just figured out where the cameras was and that meant that we also didn't have it for the MNSSHP which they was even more bummed as we was all dressed up and would have LOVED the ride pics from that night
I'll make sure to have it extended on our next 2 trips!

There are no guarantees they will extend it as technically is should just be for 14 days.

You need to ask before the card is punched too.

I had my room key out ready and was very nice. I chose a quiet time to go in and chatted with the guy while we was sorting it out

I asked recently at the photo centre in the magic kingdom and they gave me 3 weeks. We were only staying on-site the first week but they didn't ask anyway.

Like with so many things at Disney, I suspect it depends who you speak to more than what you ask for. We went very late on our arrival night and were the only ones there. I didn't know about the extension option and the CM asked us how long we were there for and just punched in the dates of our stay. She did ask for resort ID and photo ID, both of which I had to hand, along with my voucher. What a shame that your boys missed out on those last days

Oh actually, I partly lied here - just remembered that although I didn't ask for it to be extended, I asked if it could start 2 days later rather than immediately as we were there for nearly three weeks and specifically wanted it for our last two party nights. So that may have prompted her offer
