Need advise from those that have done the photo calendars. Where did you get yours? How long did it take to get it? Any info would be helpful.

I have done this every year since DS(3) was born. It has become 'tradition' now. I have one made for my parents and DH parents. They looooove it!

I get mine done at Office Max. Around the holidays they usually go on sale if i buy 2 or more. I usually pay about $18 a piece.

I usually give them a couple days to get them done. They probably could do it faster, but i do it in pleanty of time so there is no rush.

Hope this helps!!

I use photogiftplace.com. I love theirs because you get to pick a different photo for each month (some places only give you one photo for the entire year). But, even better than that, photogiftplace allows you to print birthdays, anniversaries, and any other important date right on the calendar. There's no limit to the number of dates you can put in.

Disclaimer: This info is based on how it's been for the last 3 years. I wouldn't know if they've changed it this year...I'm woefully behind in putting together my orders for 2006.

HTH,

Thanks APRILD and KelNottAt for the responses. I did call Walmart today and they said its $19.98 for the calendar and it takes two weeks to get them. I think I am going to look into Office Max and Photogiftplace.com

Thanks again!

You might also want to check out Winkflash.com - there's are $13.95 and you can pick a different picture for each month. You do have to upload your pictures first, but that's free and so is registration. And you can just upload the 12 pictures you want to use if you choose. I can't remember how much their shipping was, but I'm thinking it was a flat $2 - for up to 10 calendars.
Have fun & good luck!! :goodvibes

I've gotten mine the past 2 years through snapfish.
very short turn around time...shipped out in under 3 or 4 days.
which reminds me, I gotta get crackin' on mine.

These are a much better quality then the ones I used to get at Kinkos/Office Max.

I make my own. Inventit.com used to have photo calendar kits that were great - glossy side for the photos and matte side for the calendar. I bought a bunch of them a couple of years ago, and now I don't think they sell them. I have a co-worker who makes her own with card stock from Office Depot & then she just has them bound. We use a collage of pictures and then different backgrounds for each month. My family loves getting them.

I would love to make my own but have to go to the store to see if they have a make your own kit or something with the correct paper.

I always use Shutterfly and have been very happy. They come out looking great and shipping is quick.

I also used Snapfish. You can choose a background for your photos and have 3-4 photos on each page of the month. I made 2 of them last year.

Walgreens is running a special this week - buy one for 19.99, get each additional one for 1/2 price. I ordered ours about a week ago - I hope they are here the first of next week.

when picking out the photos for each month, do you use a picture that was taken last year for the particular month. (gosh I wrote that and I can't even understand it, one of those days...) for example, for October 2006, would you put October 2005 halloween picture. Or do you just put any ole photo on any month.

Last year when I made mine it was after Halloween, so I used the most current picture I had from that Halloween. I think for Christmas I used a photo from the year before...whatever I had that seemed appropriate for that month is what I used!

Sorry! I guess it wasn't Snapfish I used but Kodak Gallery. They are the ones with the option to use more than one picture per page. Up to 4 on a page. They are 19.99 each. Until the 21st there is a coupon code for 30% off calendars: EARLYBIRD30
