I must be the only person in the world without a "smart" phone! However, our entire household have tablets, two Samsung's and one Sony, as we are fans of Android. When trying to download My Disney Experience onto all of our tablets, it indicates not compatible with device. Before next trip Dec. 2014 , I'll finally upgrade to a smart phone. I truly don't want an IPhone! Has anyone gotten an Android based phone to work MDE, and if so which one? If not, does anyone have any reliable info if Disney is working on compatibility with Android, or has Apple paid yhem off?!?!
:confused3

MDE worked on my Droid 4, my hubby's Droid max last July, and when we went in Dec we had just got a Samsung Note and HTC one thru Verizon. Had no issues at all. MDE was easy to access and use in the parks all the time, and it was NYE week!

I used my Android phone to make and change selections while we were there last week. I have and Android tablet and like you said, the app wasn't compatible. But if I simply went to the MDE website with the tablet it worked fine.

Maybe mine was too old, but MDE app has never worked on my Droid 2, and I have tried 3 times over the past year. Every single time, it starts to load, then crashes. I would love to have a working app, but until they come up with one that will work on this phone, if they do, my Droid will have to do without.

haven't tried it in the parks yet, but I have no problems using MDE on mine -- HTC Desire (the newest version of Desire, since they recycle names, that I bought in Nov 2013). I assume it will work the same in the parks -- i've been able to view and add ADRs etc.

It worked sometimes on my iPhone 4. Would not work on SIL's Droid. It would load and go partway through selecting FP, and crash before completing selection. Droid also crashed getting wait times.

Both DH and I had it on our smartphones. I have an IPhone 5 and DH has a Samsung galaxy something or other. We had no issues at all.

If you have a tablet, just go to the full featured web site. It works much better than the mobile phone app.

I have a samsung galaxy III and MDE works fine on it except when the MDE system itself isn't working.

I haven't checked it out in the parks since my next trip isn't until Memorial Weekend 2014.

I've had MDE work great on my Asus Transformer tablet (two years old0 and my Galaxy S3. However, it won't work on my daughter's Nook, which is essentially still Android. I think it's a matter of what "base" the android version is.

I use a Samsung S4 mini and it works as well as MDE possibly can :)

Just curious why someone would be dead set against an iPhone... :confused3

My wife hated the idea, until I bought her one - and then she still hated the idea, until she learned how to use it to her advantage. She now loves it. Before she hated how I was always connected with my android. Now she won't walk out the door without her iPhone.
