Phones for My Disney Experience

Just curious why someone would be dead set against an iPhone... :confused3

Maybe because apple ruined them with iOS 7. Promised loads delivered nothing apart from more crashing.

I must be the only person in the world without a "smart" phone! However, our entire household have tablets, two Samsung's and one Sony, as we are fans of Android. When trying to download My Disney Experience onto all of our tablets, it indicates not compatible with device. Before next trip Dec. 2014 , I'll finally upgrade to a smart phone. I truly don't want an IPhone! Has anyone gotten an Android based phone to work MDE, and if so which one? If not, does anyone have any reliable info if Disney is working on compatibility with Android, or has Apple paid yhem off?!?!
:confused3

Like others have said my Samsung tablet is 'incompatible' with MDE but I was able to get the app on my Samsung Galaxy phone. It makes no sense to me but that's the way it is.

I use with Android, wife uses smartphone.

The app has worked inconsistently for both of us. At times great other times won't load, very slow. At parks for us it was useless for checking wait times, and killed my battery.
