PHM 2015-In Pursuit of Cupcakes While Running in Glass Slippers

I'm here! Things have been nuts for the last few weeks. School, our principals 50th jubilee surprise celebration (50 years as a nun), Athletic awards, academic awards, prom, class night, senior breakfast, 2 class trips, and 2 graduations later......

I am exhausted!!!

I have not run since right after the PHM. I have seriously lacked motivation and the scale has proven it! I need to get back at it.

I don't think I'll being doing PHM again. I sort of broached the subject with DH and he seemed less than thrilled. My biggest issue is travel costs, it's to expensive to fly.

Missing Cupcakes... http://s127.photobucket.com/user/momabaarjo/media/momabaarjo136/noreneaug2012_1_zps567d3955.jpg.html It seems we are missing a few cupcakes lately...Gina, JennyLou, Donna, Buffy, Samantha, Brandy, Sandi... Hoping you just traded in your running shoes for flip flops this summer so far and are out enjoying yourself! Just want to let you know you are missed!

Well, I thought I was keeping up pretty well but I guess not! I just saw this. It's good to be missed though!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me, culminating in my beloved grandfather passing away this week. He was 90 and his health had been declining for years, so it was time, but my heart is still very heavy right now.

So, I probably won't be all caught up (or at least posting) for a couple more days. I'm still here though!

I am so sorry for your loss. No matter how "ready" we think we are, grief hits us like a tsunami. (((Hugs)))

I have been meaning to share this for a few weeks...

Isn't she pretty...full size messenger/hipster bag! This is going to be my travel bag from now on, thanks to Betsy who picked her up a few weeks ago after attending the Vera Bradley event/party at WDW!

Good friends really know what you like! First sparkle skirts and now Vera Bradley...and of course the colors and the hidden Mickey obsession I have!

I can't wait to use her next month in Europe. My ipad, phone and camera fit nicely inside along with a few other things I have to carry around.

THANKS BETSY...

I'm still trying to catch up, but I just wanted to comment here. I have the tote bag and duffel bag in this pattern. :) I need to see you wearing this one so I know how big it is. I am using the tote as my diaper bag and I love it!

Anyone know if Anna and Elsa will be at any of these events?

I did not see either of them, but I do remember seeing a picture of Elsa up above everyone else...I want to say this was during the 10K, but I don't know. I didn't do GSC, did 5K & 1/2. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

And you should be...I hate the end of the school year...most of May I did not know if I was coming an going...

Get moving !!!

I am so sorry. I lost my beloved grandmother who was 91 and also in declining health...while it was a blessing it still hurts and I still miss her every day. Praying for peace and comfort for you!

Don't worry...we aren't going anywhere but to a few more pages!

Motivation Monday
(formally Music Monday)

I never in a million years would have thought, I of all people would ever start running! Let alone be going for a 1/2 marathon...guess it proves that you are never too old to step outside of the box!

Hope your Monday was great...and you got a run or workout in!

Hi Tammie! thanks for the motivation! Every time you pop up on my iphone from a run or walk, you motivate me to "get it in"!

Hope you are all well. And thanks for the advice on my race weekend dilemma this coming Saturday. I am thinking I will do 2 miles in the morning, then the 5k. I may do 2.5 or a 30-minute run. I went ahead and ran 5 miles last Friday because I was in DC and it took 1.5 miles just to get to the National Mall. I love running the mall. It is so patriotic.

Thanks for the motivation. Trying my first boo camp tomorrow at 6 am - yikes - fully expecting to throw up.

Caught up... (again)... :confused3 Crazy, good, but still crazy weekend. We celebrated my parent's 50th wedding anniversary at a lakehouse this past weekend and the hubs and I finally traded our family car (it was 8 years old and 170k+ miles) for a school bus. :rotfl2: Not literally a school bus but we did get a mini van. And surprisingly, I picked it and WANTED it. :rolleyes1 Had every intention of getting another SUV but the gas mileage, the space (specifically where my kids can't touch one another in the vehicle easily) was enticing and I've had no buyer's remorse yet. :goodvibes Then had to get the girl delivered to a summer camp and boys have had baseball. However, the youngest and I skipped brother's game tonight (dad/coach was there) and are currently watching Cars.

I decided to risk life/limb and do a check in during a severe thunder/lightning storm so need to make this brief! That Friday cupcake looked awesome, by the way!!! Training... nothing since last Friday. :scared: But tomorrow it's happening.

And Tammie - I like the fairy trio!!

Thanks Tammie! I will be looking for a pic!

And another trio is April, May and June. Donald Duck's nieces. :)

No work out for me the last few days. Eli had his last baseball tournament of the year and then we went on a road trip to see DH. I'm going to have to adjust my workout schedule and get up early to run before DH leaves for work. Getting up early is not my favorite thing to do. :(

So not an inspiring...Running on the mall sounds like so much fun! I am wanting to run in Rome but Jeff does not think it is a great idea...but running some place new is so appealing then my normal every day loops.

Glad you figured out what works for you in regards to your training plan.

That would be boot camp:) Although boo camp might come in handy for ToT:)

:rotfl2:At least you did not add a b to the end...good luck with the Boot Camp...that scares me to death. I had a high school swim coach that was harder than any military drill dude...I still can hear him! NO PAIN NO GAIN...

YAY for a new car! Even if it is a mini van...but I hear you on the gas mileage thing! That's why I wend with what I did last year...with the amount of driving you and I do with getting kids places....

YAY for a night with Cars!

Glad you like the ferry...but I forget which color you are stuck with.:lmao: I claimed green long ago...not sure what Debra picked! Now to come up with ideas!

Thanks Tammie! I will be looking for a pic!

Trust me...I hate getting up early too, but if I don't get it in then...it aint happening! Too hot at night! I dread midAugust when I am back at work trying to fit in mornings that wont happen and have to go back to evenings! At least I can always arrange my long run on Saturday mornings!
