Great update!
Im really surprised space mountain has short waits there.
Stitch encounter there sounds better than the stitch attraction in WDW. I really like how they accommodate multiple languages in Hong Kong.
From what I've heard iron man will be just like star tours.
I love the lights on everything in fantasyland at night.
I am glad you were able to pick up where you left off! I love the Tea Cups lightening effects. I also liked the Ice Cream choices, what looks like a Stitch Paw Bar? Was that a Lotso Bar also? Bet it is strawberry flavored!
So nice you fit in another day!
I find it so strange hat in some parks one ride can have such a long wait and in others no wait at all. Was the park just not crowded or people just don't like space mountain?
The food looks yummy! Nice to not be burgers and fries, I know you can get other things at WDW I just think burgers always seem to be the best option at the larger quick service....we always seem to end up at cosmic rays at least once a trip!
A trip in a month! Hope you'll do a TR (did I miss a PTR?)
Space looks so neat - and glad that their Stitch attraction is neat - would be SO awesome if they updated the WDW one with something worth visiting.
Mmm lunch looks delicious (well minus the shrimp!) and the frozen treats are cute!
Beautiful pics of IaSW, love the façade.
And love the snow white grotto, how cute! love all the different details in the parks.
Happy Belated Father's Day, Phil!
I'm glad the Stitch attraction was much better than WDWs!!
Great selfie with the Stormtrooper
OoOoh the different ice creams are so cool- I spy Lotso and Minnie!
Those facade pictures of IASW are so beautiful!
That Stitch attraction sounds interesting ... I'd be all for them replacing Stitch's Great Escape with that.
Then again, I'd be all for them replacing Stitch's Great Escape with a pile of bricks. So maybe I'm the wrong person to ask.
It's a Small World all lit up like that looks beautiful. It actually reminds me a lot of when I went to Disneyland and saw the Christmas version of IASW ... just a little less Christmasy. I think the lights really add something special to the facade.
I bet I'd be the only one there standing in front of this and trying to figure out what time the next showing was!Not used to seeing times like that.
Now THIS Stitch attraction is something i'd be on board with and i'm sure tons of fans would agree! Wonder when WDW execs will ever figure out that NO ONE likes Stitches Great Escape
How difficult was this? See, another issue i'd run into. I'd probably give them WAY too much money without even knowing!
This looks really delicious.
Ah cute!
So so pretty.
Is it similar to the two small passages they have at DLR? I love using them and they're never really busy since they're a little hidden.
Grizzly Mountain looks like a great ride! Pretty cool how they have combined the best parts of several rides. There are so many unusual attractions at HKD- it really makes me want to try to make a trip out there happen some day.
I think we all would!I definitely would welcome this version to replace what is at WDW
Nice!
Oh, wow, Izzy would LOVE a Minnie bar!
I think we all would!
Nice!
Oh, wow, Izzy would LOVE a Minnie bar!![]()
Wow thanks so much for sharing. I love hearing all about the details that make it different there than at the USA parks. The food choices especially...I would have loved to try that noodle bowl...and don't think I could have resisted the ice cream either lol. I can't believe how short the wait times were for rides!
I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day!! I just realized when you posted that your next trip is a month away that DH and I hit the road for our trip 4 weeks from tomorrow! I look forward to seeing you at the podcast taping at the very least, if not more throughout the weekend!!
The Stitch attraction looks cute! Definitely better than the abomination (haha) that we have in WDW!
I love that like the DL version of Small World, this one has the addition of the characters, but even more of them! So neat. And the facade is beautiful, just like its California counterpart. Definitely way more photogenic than WDW's version.
I didn't get to comment as much, but I enjoyed reading about your trip to Hong Kong! Looking forward to your next adventure!

You got an awesome spot for the parade and fireworks! The pictures look really amazing ... definitely seems like they know how to do nighttime entertainment well out there!
Thanks for sharing your trip report - it was great to read along and see a little bit of a park that I'll probably never get to experience.
They make the castle look a lot bigger than it is on that online map.
Great Paint the Night photos! That parade is just awesome and I really want to see it in person.
That fireworks/projections show looks very nice. I am surprised they didn't do more for the 10th.
Being a Chinese park I can see why they don't have more Walt in the park.
Awesome trip report! I loved reading all about HKDL. I hope to visit it someday in my lifetime. It sounds like you had a wonderful time.
The train station again reminds me of DLP, the train station is also right there (although we didn't take it). I wonder what sort of resorts are at HKDL?
The parade and projection show and fireworks are just beautiful!! I wish I had been able to see them at DL (their version anyway).
Thanks so much for taking the time to write up the TR!
Love the parade pictures, glad you were able to get a good spot!
It's funny to see everyone up front sitting during a show. Not something you normally see in US parks.
Great fireworks/projection pictures. Really looks like a nice show to experience.
Really enjoyed this TR and glad you were able to cross this off the bucket list!
I would totally be interested in reading a PTR for your upcoming trip![]()
