Sorry, I'm finally done with the sale and able to focus my attention where it should be-on Disney! So sorry about your camera-I hope you come back with good news! And LOL about letting the guilt linger overnight, I would totally milk that for as long as you can! At least he seemed really sorry...

The bad news is the camera can't be fixed. The good news is my mom said she will take me out tomorrow to get a new one. So I am not too upset anymore at my husband. Mistakes happen and when they do mom is always there to make it better.

Glitch in the plan: TAKE 2

I also was having concerns about our dog and him staying at my MIL. She kept him when he was under 1 year old and for anyone who has a lab may know that they are not the easiest of puppies. Well we went to the beach for a week and got a call not even 24 hours into it saying we had to find someone to come get the dog cause she couldnt take it anymore. He chewed her tv remote/cigarette case /knocked the garbage can over and ate all the garbage/and took her bra's from the clean laundry basket and ran outside with them and chewed them while rolling in a big dirt pile. This was all in a 24hour time frame. Luckily my cousin who loves dogs was able to get him and bring him home and stay with him. So we are having a hard time convincing her that he will be fine this time. He is 6yrs old now and is out of those puppie stages. She said she will do it but keeps coming up with excuses why we should find someone else.

So to give you another backround story.... I got a lhasa apso before I met my dh while still living at my parents. He is now 10 years old. He is very tempramental and sometimes snaps at you if he gets stressed. Well when I moved out with my dh we took him with and my parents were thrilled. (he is a real PITA dog) When I got pregnant with my first son I asked my mom to keep him for a few weeks until we saw how he was with the baby. Well she agreed and he has been there ever since. Well as you can believe this has put a very bad taste in my parents mouth about me and my dogs. So I did not even think to ask them to keep donovan while were in disney. The other part is that my parents really wanted to come with us on our trip but we politely asked them to wait for the next one. Since this is my dh and I's dream to take our kids to disney we knew it should just be with us and that adding in my parents would be a totally different experience. My mom and dad were very disappointed and I still feel bad about the situation but I am hoping to return sooner than later so they can enjoy it with the kids as well.

Well this week we found out my dh's grandma is going to need a surgery on her leg and it will be scheduled in the next few weeks. After the hospital stay she will go to a rehab facility for a few weeks to recover. My MIL is the only child here to help her so she is concerned she will be out every night visiting her and will not be able to be home with the dog. Well this has had me in a complete panic of what are we going to do with the dog. I did not put money away to put him in a kennel and I have no one else to ask.

So I had to somehow ask my wonderful parents today to help us out yet again.

I thought for sure I would get the response of: "well were not good enough to go with you but were good enough to keep the dog" or "Ive kept one of your dogs for 5 years now isnt that enough". But to my surprise my mom said.........Sure, dad and I were talking about it and figured we would help you out since your MIL cant do it. Ok so I definitely oh her big time. They get the parents of the year award.

Gosh can I ask for anything more...............

Darn, sorry about the camera!! At least your mom is getting you a new one! Thats awesome!! You sure do have great parents, thank goodness they can care for the pups!! That is one thing I'll never have to worry about!!! I am deathly affraid of dogs!! Devon on the other hand loves them!! He actually has one at his dad's house, a huge Rotweiller that freaking bit me last summer when I stoped over!! My mom jokes that the Ex trained him to attack me!! LOL

What kind og camera you thinking of getting? Keep us posted!

I totally hear you on how inviting parents makes for a different trip. We were supposed to go just the 4 of us, but then I knew our moms really wanted to go. We weighed the pros and cons for a good long while before deciding to invite them to join us. Of course it will be super nice to have them there to help, and I'm excited for them to see the boys' enjoyment, but it's not OUR trip anymore, you know? So I totally get your feelings on it. I'm sure they understand, and you have to do what feels best for you and your family.

I am so glad you joined along. I stayed at AS-Sports in 98 and thought it was great. So I know my boys will like it too. They are going to mesmerized by all the big sports stuff. I would have liked to try POP but my dh won that battle. As you can see from my trip report we are very sports oriented.

Yes I am no longer going to stress over the weather, thats out of my control so I will just hope for a cooler night. If not we will still have an awesome time anyway.

I am so glad you have heard good things about OSR. They seem like a great company but you can never be totally sure. I am sure it will work out well.

That is so funny about the dog. Rotweillers can be a little scarry.
I am unsure of what camera exactly to get but I would like to try to stick with an olympus which is what I had. Only because I still want to use the extra memory card I just bought. If not olympus I am going to try to find one that uses the card. I looked tonight while at target and saw an olympus water proof camera. It was 12 megapixels and seemed good. I dont know much about camera's. I am planning on going just with my mom tomorrow and the boys will stay with my husband so I can concentrate on my purchase. The only thing is while I was putting ryan my ds4 to bed I thought he felt warm. Took his temp. 101.5. Not good. Hopefully its nothing much and he will feel better by the morning. Better for him to get sick now rather than during our trip. This is also another thing I worry about. Can you tell by now I have anxiety. It's my own diagnosis but Im sure from reading my report you would agree.

I will keep you posted on what I buy.

Yeah I totally feel like Im being selfish but Dh and I talked about it and contemplated it for awhile and I still feel really bad saying no but I think it was a good choice for us. I hope we can go back soon. I am hoping May 2010 but havent said anything to my dh yet. I wanted to get one more trip in before ryan starts kindergarten next year and that way we wont have to worry about school schedules. I want to be able to let my parents come with when the kids are still younger. I think thats the time when its the most magical. Hopefully it will work out. We will see.

Mission accomplished today. After spending 1 1/2 hours at best buy looking at all the choices I finally made a choice. I went with the cannon power shot 1200. It was highly recommended by the salesmen. They say cannon is the best for lens quality. I sure hope they were right. It was 50$ cheaper than the sony I was looking at so I would guess that they werent just trying to get me to buy it for the price. I have the battery charging so I will try it out tomorrow. Yes and needless to say, I have not been back in Devon's father's house since I got bit!!! I just stay in the call and beep for Devon to come out!! I'm not taking anymore chances of that beast biting me again!!

Oh, no... Is Ryan feeling better?? I actaully woke up this morning all congested and with a sore throat!! When I was at the doctor with my brother on Friday, the doctor said there was a summer bug going around! I'm with you with the worrying thing!! I am the same way!!!

So I see you got the Cannon!!! They are by far the best camera's... I have went thru 2 power shots!!! My first was was stolen out of my stoller in Disney!! Yes you heard that right!!! Sad part about that was it was taken on our last day, so I have NO pictures from that trip. And the second one was stolen out of my stroller on the Wildwood boardwalk!! You think I would have learned my lesson the first time!!! But NO!! Oh well, the moral of the story here!! Do not leave the camera in your stroller!! I now have the Sony cybershot, with I like, but definitely not as good as my cannon. I refused to by another Cannon, because it think it is a curse with me!!1 LOL!! Let me know what you think of it. Yep its just my luck that I would have my camera stolen not once but twice... Believe me, I learnt my lesson, I now have a camera case that attachs to my purse strap!!!

We still haven't received our DME tags. I'm trying not to freak out, or bug our TA (who claims I never bug her, but I must!). I'm giving it until Thursday and then I'll freak out! It makes the trip feel so real, doesn't it?!

yes it does feel more real now that she called. I will be even more excited to have it all in hand tomorrow. I hope our DME tags are included, she said everything has arrived but who knows.
