Hey everyone! I was wondering if you guys had any info on The new ride. When it opens? What it is? Thanks to any one who answers

It's a CGI animated movie in 3D. Rumor is that it will open approximately 6 months after Mission:Space opens (in order to keep good spacing for marketing.) Mission:Space's opening seemed set for April (based on the countdown clock installed - and later removed - at Innoventions). The rumor is that it is delayed (for rumored reasons including fine tuning the motion sickness factor.) There's also the possibility that the Columbia may play a role in the delay. Sorry to keep using the word rumor, but, it's rumored that Mission:Space has a "something goes wrong" twist to the storyline. Given the recent disaster, that could be construed as insensitive, some say it is being re-written.

And, there's another rumor swirling that Philharmagic could actually open 6 months before Mission:Space if Space's delays look like they are going to be long.

I have no idea how much of this is true, it comes from so many sources.

The only "semi-offical" word on either was on the recent earnings call, when Eisner said Space would open "in the Fall". He made no mention of Philharmagic.

gcurling is right, there is nothing else official from Disney, and all we here are rumors.

My GUESS is that Space isn't going to open until at least August/September, and due to that later opening they will open Philharmagic in the Spring, so they have something new for the Summer. That's assuming Philharmagic is not delayed for its own production reasons.

We go in May, so I'm hoping its open then, but am not really counting on it.

Isn't Phila magic(?) a music type attraction? We're going in late May/early June, and I was really hoping it was something DS, who's a music major, would enjoy.
