MIL would like to bring her pug w/her when we vacation in Oct. Where can he stay? how much? can she get him to walk him?

There are kennels at WDW at MK, MGM, Epcot and Fort Wilderness I think. I believe the best dog walking area is the Epcot one. They require the owner to walk to walk the dog 3 times per day, if you wish they will walk the dog for you for $2.50 per walk. According to Passporter, only the Epcot one offers this service. You also have to provide all food for your pet. A friend of mine inquired, and I believe it's $15 per day, and the animals are caged when not being walked by the owner or by a CM if you request that.

If she could find someone back home who would care for her dog or a reputable vet or boarding facility, her dog might be happier. You can't have your pet at any of the resorts, only the boarding facilities.

As a dog breeder/exhibitor and owner of sevral dogs and a kennel, I can tell you FOR SURE, your dog will be much happier at home with a dog sitter, or in a nice boarding kennel. We took dogs down to Florida to the January shows several times, and took in WDW before returning to Minnesota. The WDW kennels are very nice, but it was a real pain to go walk the dogs several times a day. One of the kennels (I think the Epcot or MGM one) had outdoor covered runs for our larger dogs. We preferred that, since it wasn't as crucial for us to walk them as often. We thought the care they received was good, but it was a lot of work for a "vacation". Now we only travel to WDW without dogs, and never combine a show trip with vacation. We pay to have someone come in and house/dog sit. The dogs are much happier to be in their own familiar suroundings. We also board a dog or two for friends when they are out of town, and when they return, they KNOW their dogs have had a vacation too!

ITA ::yes::

Much easier to leave them with friends/family or board them where you are....it is a lot of work to board them at Disney because you do have to return to walk them and things and much of the time you're just too busy!!
