Peter Pan's Flight - Can Someone Explain...

My family also loves this ride. Many things contribute to its popularity. First, I think that the Peter Pan story has something for everyone. Pirates, Indians, Mermaids, a dog that's a nanny, Fairies, crocodiles, Danger, swordflights, living w/o grown ups, being able to fly, a great villian, never aging, playing house with the lost boys, a first romance and the enduring love of a parent. Next, the ride is classic. It is one of the original rides at Disneyland. It is far and away the best ride in Fantasyland. The three dimensional figures are better than the painted scenes found in other rides. You are flying above ground. The flight over London is beautiful (that section always ends too soon for me).

This disboard community is about going to a place that makes up happy and where we leave many of our daily cares behind. The parks are essentially our "Neverland" where we refuse to grow up. The poularity of this ride does not surprise me.... at all

Don't mistake popularity with capacity.....even though the line for Dumbo is usually longer, far more people go on Peter Pan every day. Pirates lines are short, Dumbo's are long -- not because Dumbo is loved more but because over 1200 people can ride Pirates in an hour and only a couple hundred can do Dumbo. That's why Spaceship Earth is one of the most popular, even though lines are rarely ridiculous.

I don't know -we like it however its not a must do for us, if the queues are low we will do it other wise will give it a miss. The one at Disneyland Paris always has crazy queues as well.

Do me it wraps all of the feelings of Disney and being a kid more than any ride in the park.

We usually head to Fantasyland first and ride the slow loading rides so we don't have to worry about long lines later. In SEpt., the line for PP is non-existent for about the first hour. Sometimes we still grab a FP for Peter Pan in case we want to ride it again later. And we usually do :goodvibes .

While this topic is still going strong, I just have to say I CAN NOT WAIT TO RIDE THIS RIDE WITH MY SON!!!! He loves Peter Pan and he is going to just love it when we "fly"

:)
