I love the background music on the WDW Radio podcast (I'm surprised so many here don't like it and/or find it distracting), but I like my DIS Unplugged just fine without it. I seriously doubt Pete has any plans to add it.
I never thought anything about the podcast not having any music until a few weeks ago when I listened to a few of the other Disney podcasts. I have to agree with the majority of posters here that not having any music on the podcast is a good thing. The music sounds a little corny and would distract
from, at least for me, the podcast.
You should load up the first few bars of the "Entertainment Tonight" theme song, in your new magic box, and everytime John starts to talk, hit him with a little! Where is John Tesh when you need him!!
Seriously, leave it alone, you guys are great "sans" tunage.
One of the reasons I love the podcast is because it is just a group of friends sitting around talking. While I might have background music on sometimes, it does not change on the topic.
I'm laughing so hard reading this. You guys are all hilarious
I'm a Kim so do I get to be a back up singer too?? Say it has to be so I can make work let me have the time off for the cruise. Kevin, will you write my work excuse?
Ya'll have got to be kidding me. The background music was absolutely a hysterical addition to the show. I loved it and outright laughed everytime Pete hit John with the harp stuff.
I think that using this background music in a comical way would be a fantastic form of entertainment.
And - being a relatively new listener - I would be so excited to be on the "ground floor" (or whatever that term is) of the beginning of a new "inside joke" on the podcast.
Pete, I think you know what you are doing. My vote is to keep doing it.
