So is your accomm booked? Are you decorating the St. James Room?

i'm so upset for you that the convention had everything booked! That sucks!

But i'm glad you are making the best of things... i really liked the st james room, and the patio is very nice! And having the Grand 1 is awesome! i would've rathered that but we had too many people. I think everything will work out for the better! :)

Accommodations are booked...so that is over with...thank goodness! If anything with the St. James Room probably just linens. Maybe a center piece...my dad and I have this thing with too much 'junk' on the table...it's pretty and all but honestly takes up table space :rotfl:

Yeah me too...but what can you do right? The only thing I can do is make the best of things...and honestly...the new job is taking up a lot of energy...So, that made it less disastrous than it would have been had I not had something else to focus on :rolleyes1 I think G-1 with Misty and Nelio photographing will be awesome....Maybe we can do a titanic picture :rotfl2:

Off to square a couple of things up with my TA and off to work...Have a great day girls! :goodvibes

So, DH wanted to see if *gasp* golf clubs had room in their club houses for a reception...Thank goodness...the WP said nope. So sorry...:lmao:
If I wanted a golf club wedding we could have had it at home. Yeah. No.

Anywho, we are waiting to see what the deal is with the new $7500 minimum with the whole private event thing...leave it to Disney to do something different just before I book...OH MY GARWSH! I JUST LOOKED ONLY 19 DAYS LEFT!!! Wow! Nervous. Strange. Over it. :rotfl:

Everything is booked and confirmations have been sent to the family members.
Misty has been paid. She sent a thing out for an extra 10% off with some stipulations that we could conform to (nothing contract related) and you could only get it if you were the first 3 couples to reply. We were the first to reply so that was cool.:thumbsup2 So, that is done.

I still need to work on the next newsletter and I'm dragging my feet on doing it...inspiration anyone???

Ahh poo... I didn't get anything from Misty

I'd email you a copy of my newsletter... But I still don't have my pen drive back :sad2:

That's good that you couldn't use the golf clubs... A disney wedding is supposed to be special!

Maybe b/c your wedding is in 2011??? :confused3 Just a thought...
I'm relieved about the golf club bit too...

ok off to bed...need sleep...bad!

So, I'm a little stuck with venues for dinner. Who knew that a convention could be such a pain in my rump! Oh well. Anyway. We were offered the St. James room...which in my opinion...and I mean no offense if your view is different but the St. James Room looks like an old banquet room that honestly-if I wanted that look I could have stayed home.

As a matter of fact. I told my wedding planner as much. (I was much nice that that...but made it clear that this really sucks)

So, she comes back with that she might have a plan to get me into GF. Her suggestion is to book Sago Cay with a weather back up location at the White Hall Dining Room. This way we would only be held to SC mins...DH loves the room (success:thumbsup2) However, we would have to hope for bad weather! :rotfl: Great. OH and there is only one catch. We can't get into White Hall until 7 PM. Seriously. How is that for a flow of events. Um...so, yeah. We have to do more work.

First of all what is the F&B min for White Hall (is this even worth asking or am I just going to cry???) :sad2: What does Disney consider bad weather? Can we do a dinner and dessert at white hall and still see wishes? What time does wishes start? Is 5PM open at the WP?

This is just flipped inside out! I need to spend some serious time on the phone with my wedding planner b/c I'm stuck.

I know you're upset about this but could you possibly think of maybe moving your wedding up a day or back a day? (I know you want to keep it on the same day as your at home wedding date but this could be a solution) I'm sure that would open up a few more venues to you.

Have you checked on the Napa room or Sonoma room? Their breakfast and lunch menus are very reasonable and the minimums for before 4pm is $1000?

thought of it...DH said no. :confused3 Might might try Napa or Sonoma...who do I call???

They're in California grill. They are private room, napa has a MK view and is bigger than sonoma. Napa seAts abou 40-50 so it may be too big for your group but sonoma is smaller so that's a good alternative

Contact your planner. The dinner minimums are high so your best bet is lunch or brunch.

What is the st. augustines room?

I am a bit confused as isn't the Key West Room and the Whitehall Room banquet rooms too or have I got the wrong end of the stick!!

They are...but they have a little more personality and look nicer. St. James (like I said this is just my opinion) needs some rehab. DH's whole take on it is that we do not have a connection to the Boardwalk-we've never stayed there. Never wanted to really. We've always wanted it at GF. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't say that though :rotfl:

hmmm.... i wonder what other options they can come up with for you... i agree that the St. James room isn't too pretty and that you are having a disney wedding and want something disney. If you wanted a reception at a ball room you'd have done it at home.

I'm still thinking that the grand 1 is the best option. Its so unique and it reminds me of that VH1 show "the fabulous life of..." see if your planner can help you book it sooner than the 90days out.

The G-1 idea is still out there...it just depends...She isn't back until Monday. I have no clue when I am going to meet up with her to talk. My work schedule is crazy...the more I think about it the more I want to melt down (think about the work schedule...the wedding part is cake...but I think at sometime this month I'm working 13 days straight...:confused3) Maybe I can schedule something with her on Wed or Thurs morning to chat...hmmmm...

one week and we book...Now, I'm just hoping that the food and bev mins for Whitehall are within reason...that would make my freaking day!!! :wizard:
Ok yup...I'm nervous...Silly girl...It's not like I haven't done this once already-with the same guy!!! :rotfl:

6 DAYS UNTIL WE BOOK!
So, We have a plan! We're looking at a 5 PM wedding, and a 7PM reception

My poor wedding planner...I'm going to be bugging her Monday to double check everything! I hope I can last by then! :upsidedow

Ahh, your time to book is coming up so quick! I almost wish it was my time to book, but it will get here soon enough and I'll still have nothing planned!!
