So many exciting updates! First off congrats on your graduation And the dress is gorgeous!!!! I love the shape and think the gold will look stunning with an all red rose bouquet!!!!

Also congrats on deciding on Misty! We are in the process of booking her as well... just waiting for the contract from Nelio... has he sent it to you yet? I've just been e-mailing with Misty and she said Nelio would send the contract.... she sent me the PayPal info on how to make the payment but no contract yet????

I think we're pretty much on the same timeline here- I'll probably be ordering my dress next week! Congrats again on everything!

It sounds like we are definitely on the same timeline. I have not seen a contract from Nelio either and was starting to get nervous. Glad I'm not the only one in this boat! I figure if I don't hear by next week I'll give them a call.

It sounds like everyone things that the all red rose bouquet will work...YEAH! I'm a little worried thinking about the color as "gold"...Just b/c my tiara is silver...Hmmmm...Oh well we won't know until we try it right??? I should have brought it all with me when I tried everything on...I guess we will see how it all turns out...

I think the bracelet would match quite nicely, and you could always find a gold tiara. I personally would wear the bracelet, as it seems to have far more meaning to you, you did "borrow" it after all! While the tiara is nice, I assume it doesn't have nearly as much sentimental value.

You could wear this tiara at the bachelorette party, the rehearsal dinner, on the honeymoon, randomly around the house to remind your husband who truly reigns rotfl... and buy a gold one for the big day!

You're right the tiara doesn't hold nearly as much sentimental value...but we will see.
The hair thing is a huge stumbling block for me. I wanted it up...Now I think I want it down. It's hard to tell how it will all turn out without a hair and make up trial...Ok now I'm nervous... but in a good way

I did try the "gold" one on and my mom liked it much better than the white. She said the white washed out me out. I liked the one I tried on...Don't get me wrong. I love it...but now I can only think of "gold" as Belle like Gold...

Would it be terrible if I went to the shop with all of my stuff and tried it all on again? At least I wouldn't have to wait 6 months to see it all together.

Thank you! I would post the pic but the look on my face is...well...miserable. I wasn't miserable...I was happy but it is just one of those pics where my mom caught me at the wrong time.

If I go visit my dress I'll take better pics.

I don't think that would be an issue for the shop really. You have already purchased the dress, and if you decide you don't like the gold color, well, better to change your mind a couple of days after the initial purchase rather then a month before the wedding.

I think it is more that I expected to end up with one thing (white dress, silver jewlery and my grandmothers bracelet) Don't get me wrong, I love my dress...I just am having a hard time with the transition from this is what I had for accessories...and now...I don't have a clue how this is going to work out! I had my hair picked out...everything...Now...not so much...Honestly, I can't help but laugh b/c well...I should not have put the cart before the horse.
My whole image of what I thought I was going to have has totally changed!!! I wanted my hair up...now I'm thinking maybe half up half down. I had the accessories picked out...They might work...They might not...The only thing that I thought I was going to end up with that is the same are the shoes I want.

I shouldn't really see this is a problem..it just means I get to do more shopping!!!

I think the other part of it is that I want to wear the dress again. I figure that if I go to the shop again I can see it all together and figure out what else I will need

On a different note...DF always said he wanted to at least see a picture of the dress before the wedding. He has been so great and hasn't even asked to see it (which is good b/c the pic online is terrible) I told him how badly I wanted to show him but didn't want to ruin that one moment where he would get to see it for the first time. He said that if there were tears shed and everyone's response was what I said it was then he doesn't need to see it. He knows it will be great!

Sure you may expect a white dress... I think every girl does! The key is to get what you love. Soooo, if you like the gold, you like the gold! But yeah... should really get the dress first, jewelry next!

And I don't think you are being difficult, it is an important day and you wanna look your best! Hehe. Totally understandable. I am sure everything will work out quite nicely!

Edit: I have finally finished reading all of your planning journal, and an idea came to mind. Since you maaaay be doing a nice dinner and Cirque instead of a Dessert Party, and you would be buying a shorter, white dress anyway... why not wear the gold gown/gold accessories (grandma's bracelet) for the ceremony, and the white dress/silver accessories (tiara you love) for all of the evening events. That way, you get to wear everything you want on your big day, and it will all match!

I don't think it will be as "gold" as you expect...just a darker shade of Ivory. My dress from my first wedding was ivory and a gold tone...I wore silver jewelry! I mean you knew it wasn't WHITE, but wasn't like OMG she is wearing a gold dress. And my dress now is Ivoryish but I am wearing silver/white gold. I think you will be fine!!

So, 1.5 weeks ago I spent sometime on the phone with Misty. She said Nelio would be sending me the contract. I did not receive anything for a week. Monday I sent her an email (knowing at least she would get it by Tuesday) She wanted to confirm what package I wanted. I sent her that and she said that Nelio would get the contract to me. I still haven't seen anything.

What should I do??? Give her until Monday and start making phone calls??? Insight???

I told her I received the link to send the deposit through pay-pal but had not received the contract yet for some reason and if she could ask Nelio to send again? The contract showed up maybe 2 days after that. I'm not really sure what the issue is with this, it seems really unlike them... this is a really busy time of year for weddings I guess. Good luck!

Talk about Murphy's law! So, I post that last night and they sent me the contract and paypal info last night....Well, more like this morning at 3:55!!! They must be busy. I'll chalk it up to that. As long as they aren't late for the wedding I'm good with it.

DF and I will go over the contract this weekend and go from there.

This still doesn't seem real to me yet. Is that normal???

Hi-ya!
So, finally after some emailing back and forth, the contract has been signed and sent that deposit has been put down! I HAVE A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER!!! (but still waiting on a date and time )

Tomorrow is a big day. I have an interview with a hospital where I really want to work for the position that I've been working toward for the past 3 years. Wish me luck!

(PS I have a ton of little updates to make...Now, I just have to get to them....)

DF was soo sweet. I went over the contract and so did he. Then, he wanted me to check on some questions that he had. Last night I read to him the response we had received from Nelio. He said, "Ok sign the contract and send them the deposit!" I love how he is getting excited about the little stuff right along with me!
