"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

Your family is just TOO DARN CUTE!! I just love the pics, and Baylor is just ornry...you can just tell from the pics :3dglasses
That is a perfect word to describe Baylor! He is also too funny for his own good even when he does not mean to be.

Side story from our drive to burn camp:

The kids were all have sleping most of the 5 hour drive. Baylor wakes up to say..."Who would name their town Virgyna? (I spelled it this way so you for sure knew he pronounced it like it would rhyme with with Dina/myna/vajayjay with an r etc...) :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

The other two just sat and stared at him like he had grown three heads. Then peppered him with questions to find out if honestly he thought that or was he just being funny.

Dan and I were laughing so hard I wanted to pull over and find the nearest tall grass. Then, Dan says to Baylor, "You should see their town welcome sign!" :lmao:

For anyone who indeed lives in Virginia, MN - I think you caused a 14 year old to have nightmares about the possibilities of a team mascot! :rotfl2:

Looks Yummy! I want some!
I know! So darn good!

[Bribery always works when you want to get a good pic!
He is totally about bribes!
I can tell he's up to something:rolleyes1

Usually is!
It's like you have your own body guard. How tall is he, like 9 foot!??
Nope - he is just a bit under 6'6 cause he is old and shrinking!
I really like Ohana. However, the first time we were going there, everytime one of my parents would mention the name, the other would say "Ohana means family." So by the time we actually ATE there, I was so tired of hearing it that I would literally scream and run away if anyone mentioned it. And of course, the first thing the "cousins" tell you is that.....Ohana means family. Guess who was unamused.

You made my morning! Dan can do a good Stitch voice so he always says it when Ohana is said (I can't even type the words cause they grate on me now) and I told him he is allowed once a trip to mention it or I am going to leave him. I firmly believe the reason God invented STD's is so people do not forget there can be too much of a good thing. :rolleyes1 pirate: ;)
Just so you know, your TR is saving me from killing my possible future in-laws. So update soon, you're saving lives.
Now I am the Red Cross? Do I get combat pay? Do tell!!!!
You guys look so happy together its really nice to see and the kids always seen to be getting along so well, you can tell they really care about each other the way they go out of their way to torture each other, that takes real love. It does and they do. Treyner has a U-Haul out in the driveway and I am sad. First step for the amigos to not be 3 anymore. Did I tell u we added 2 Kittens to the mix. Now its 4 dog, 2 cats, and 1 ferret. What was I thinking.:confused3
The same thing I was when we got Kizzy. "Aren't they cute!" :goodvibes

Ohana sounds soooo YUMMY right now! :goodvibes
Sounds like you had fun there...and you can't beat fireworks!!!
It was a lovely dinner and I can't wait to go back!

Update: We leave today and I do not see how I can get this TR done today. I have spent the majority of the past few days washing everything from Burn Camp and with my Dad who we are moving transitional care units for again. I am so exhausted.

The good news is it is cooler out here this morning and it is raining softly so hopefully we can get Treyner all packed and ready to go without it being 100 degrees.

He only has 1 unit test left for his summer school online classes and he is done. He had a few friends stop by last night that are girls that are very smart and they looked at his syllabus and said they thought the History teacher was a sadist too. In 4 weeks to have an entire history book read, all the terms written out, 31 chapter quizzes, 2 unit tests, 2- 1500 word essays and 20 assignments at 1000 words each, plus all the extra podcasts , videos web links and oh, did I mention to say an additional 250+ page book in your spare time....was more than they had to do in any of their semester classes at all. One assignment with 100 words yesterday had you first watch an hour long video on a jazz singer.

Needless to say he is only partially packed and that is stuff from the garage.

He still needs to organize his room, wash a few loads of laundry I am sure and I have done nothing either.

No baking, no cooking, no nada.

Hence: I need to get off the computer in 15 minutes and get busting a move.

Goal to be gone by 2:00 p.m.

Yeah right....

I will be back on August 1st...to finish here and start the new Boogerlicious adventures from the road!!! :yay:

subbing

I still maintain that the very best thing I have EVER read on the DIS was the whole...space mountain, clothing optional story. The photographic evidence was PRICELESS!!

Still hoping the boys will deliver on this TR with some of the same sort of shenanigans!!

Good luck and I hope you were able to finish everything today. Have a great trip!! :goodvibes

Great pictures from your Ohana dinner. All the kids (and you and Dan) look so cute! Everybody has that "glow" and looks so happy!

Now I am the Red Cross? Do I get combat pay? Do tell!!!!

Haha, I would totally get you combat pay....however, yesterday I checked my debit card balance and had a whopping 38 cents. Soooo.....unless you have a serious craving for one of the .25 items at Taco Bell, your pay would be slightly insignificant.

Your TR is more just an escape from the nuisances of real life here. I've been spending the week at his house, because I ride with him to the animal shelter and it's just easier for him to be able to poke me awake. Anyway, grievance #1: His room is the laundry room. His sisters are forever putting laundry in at 11 p.m., and then set the buzzer on the dryer to go off when it's done. An hour later, everyone's asleep, and then I get the poo (the un-Winnie kind) scared out of me because it lets out an insanely loud EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Something along that line.
Grievance #2: His mom sent me, him, and his sister to go to the grocery store. We (Taylor and I) were ready to leave, but had to wait an additional 15 minutes for his sister to shower, get dressed, and put makeup on. Solely to go to the grocery store. I mean, really?
And there's always their total lack of understanding about food and when it goes bad. Real quote "Pizza is good for two days just out on the counter."

Heh....sorry for the mini rant. This thread is really one of my only connections to the world outside of eastern NC. And my only connection to Disney for now. BUT......possibly a spring break trip is in the works, so cross your fingers!!!!

Hi Dawn....Just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying ALL your TRs. I'm still back in 2009, reading your 2nd TR, but am LOVING every word. I've laughed, I've cried, I've peed my pants. I'm a midwesterner by birth, transplanted some 20 years ago to this toxic waste zone known as New Jersey (seriously, just KIDDING....it's beautiful here) and love every reference to Minn-E-soda (sorry, couldn't resist, I'm from NW Iowa)!! You are hilarious. Please keep on writing and SOMEDAY I will catch up, though I may not sleep again until the end of the year!

Dawn, I love your TR's! If you were to write a book, I'd buy it as I'm certain it'd be one of the most hilarious, well written books I'd ever read.

15 minutes is actually pretty impressive to shower, get dressed and put makeup on :thumbsup2 I wish I could do that :cool1:

Good luck with everything. We will surely be here waiting when you come back....popcorn::
Got back Sat. night and hope to get this TR done by Tom!

No pressure at all! :lmao:

That's cause you don't have top bail them out of jail!!! :thumbsup2 ;) :rotfl2:

Got it all done but then came home to a few down feather pillows that were torn to shreds by a dog!!! I am still cleaning up feathers! :headache: :scared1:
Great pictures from your Ohana dinner. All the kids (and you and Dan) look so cute! Everybody has that "glow" and looks so happy!
We were really happy! It was a good night for sure!
Looks like a great and entertaining meal :rotfl:
Entertaining with my kids is not hard. Trying to have them remember they are in civilization is ! :teacher:
Have a great trip!

Thanks for the well wishes! They worked! :worship:

Are you sure you did not pull up Treyner's account?! :rotfl:

Just wait till you have children taking up all the hot water! You will be amazed at what you can get done in a few minutes! :lmao:

Chapter Twenty Two: EPCOT, WIGD & Vomit...just not always in that order!

Our last day at WDW was going to be spent enjoying EPCOT. The same EPCOT that a phone call had sucked the life out of back in December for 4 hours. MY EPCOT deserved a re-do and this was the day!

We wanted to get a pretty early start and also desperately hoped to see WIGD and Shocker before we got to the park. In fact Anita was nice enough to have called that morning from their room on the other side of POP, to ask us if we wanted some of their extras from Garden Grocer that they could not take on the plane.

Ummmm...I have 4 starving teens who always act like they have never seen the inside of a grocery store so heck to the yeah!

While all of us showered and got ready fast, Baylor laid still with a pillow over his head. He was not feeling well he said and I hoped if he got some food in his belly it might get better. He also had a headache and I was wondering if the switching back and forth from contacts to glasses might be the culprit. My eyes are really bad (20/2500 & a minus 11 in contacts) and I get that when I am not consistent with contacts. His are nowhere near mine but I just hoped contacts and sunglasses to protect his eyes from the sun might help the headache. And Tylenol of course!

Well he showered and said he would try breakfast after seeing Anita and Marc but he was not feeling any better after we got in the van. In fact he had his contacts with him because he said his head hurt just opening his eyes.

We drove over to see them and by the time we walked to their room, Baylor was in bad shape. He literally laid down on their bed and then quickly moved to the bathroom, holding his head and praying to the porcelain God for mercy.

Not good for EPCOT and so not good for my Baylor. We snapped just one picture of Anita and I before we bid them adieu and got Baylor back to our room to try and keep the dark in and his headache from becoming a migraine.

P1040431.jpg

(I believe they were in the 50's buildings and BTW - had not been redone yet. No new TV, decor and the beds looked like they had just come out of Animal House. I felt bad they had to suffer through a night there but then remembered they had enjoyed a ton of nice nights in DVC and we had 6 people in our room so the pity was short lived! LOL)

I stayed with Baylor at the hotel and the rest headed to the bus stop to get to EPCOT. The new goal was that we could arrive later after he slept with the hope it would be before our dinner reservations at Biergarten. Time would tell.

As soon as Baylor and I entered the room, off he went and was sick for a few minutes. I felt just horrible because he is my tough guy. I honestly rarely saw him show his pain when he was burned. So if Baylor is down and out, I never question the severity and when he lets me put a cold compress on his head and rub his back, I know he is miserable. In fact when he was in 3rd grade for Mothers Day they had to write a little diddy about what makes their Mom's special. Baylor wrote about our "Date" days, (The 1 or 2 days I take him out of school a year and we go out to lunch and maybe the zoo or somewhere special with just us.) and also the care he gets when he was sick. As a parent it was gratifying to know that he loved me for moments that were not all about big ticket items but rather the times that make him know he is special to me and that I would raise the sun at night if I could to make him feel better.

So he slept for almost 2 hours and I was patient and resigned myself to the understanding that EPCOT was cursed. Maybe not practical but it worked for me!

After 2 hours, I woke him up and he felt much better. He ate a cup of applesauce and drank a juice box and took Tylenol again and we waited about a half hour to see what the results would be.

Everything stayed down and we got out the door and drove to EPCOT! Called the gang and they were in THE LAND! Taylor loved EPCOT and since she had never been there, they were enjoying showing her all the little parts that were their favorites.

We met up with them and Baylor felt good enough to eat at Sunshine Seasons plus the rest of the tribe was starving. I made him take it easy on portions because I was still n ot sure what caused his original icky tummy.

P1040433.jpg

Taylor and Treyner split a sandwich and tart!

P1040432.jpg

Yummy chocolate cake!

P1040436.jpg

Butterfinger cake that Dan and Baylor split!

I know Dan and I split a sandwich as well but for the life of me can't figure out what happened to Baylor and Carsyn's lunch pics!

Food was staying down for Baylor and color was back in his cheeks so we went off to Soarin! They had ridden the Land already so it looked like I would have to miss out on that once again!

In line I got some of my favorite pics of the day!

The shirts BTW - were ones that I was lucky enough to have the help of Allison (Tebi) to make come true! I thought up the design but the implementation was all her!

Best one of the group by far!!!!

We got brave enough to ask for the first row and a nice enough CM to oblige! Soon enough we were on our way to evergreens, orange groves and the ocean! (Does anyone else think it would be cool if the sprinkled water at you when you went over the rivers and ocean or snow hills? Every time I am on it I think of ways they could improve it by the little touches they use in rides like ITTBAB at AK.)

Up next was Ellen's which Dan had never been on and we had not been to for a long time.

After that some went on Mission Mars and Carsyn and I took some private time to tour the flower festival.

P1040444.jpg

I love this one of her!!!

We then ran into some webbed friends while catching some rays and waiting for the group to emerge.

We also met a women who had never been to WDW before and was a bit off in her ideas of dress code etiquette. Remember the "PON" scandal of Dec. 2008 in Universal? Well this was equal to that because we had started to chit chat so again, anyone walking by would have assumed although on different benches, we may indeed have known one another.

Seems that she was roped into coming as a babysitter for a not quite 2 year old grandson. This meant she was the recipient of bench duty while the older members of her daughters family got to experience the rides. Now they were from the south, Alabama I believe but it was darn hot in EPCOT that day and she decided her belly needed some sun. :scared1:

I am not exaggerating when to my horror, I saw her lift her shirt to right under her bra and let her swollen abdomen, pasty white and all, reach for the suns rays. She knotted it like Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island.

Then she kept talking to me like it was normal to wear clothes more appropriate for Chrissy from "Three's Company," than one would when you are more the poundage of Mrs. Roper. Carsyn was trying not to giggle and then she shot more pics of the ducks trying to sneak in a picture of the new wackadoo on our adventure.

P1040451.jpg

By the time she got brave enough, the white shirt was down and had surrendered but at least you get an idea of who we were dealing with.

****If this is your mother, please inform her that WDW is not a nudist camp and even partial nudes will be scoffed at and mocked. That's just how we roll so suck it up Sally.****

The kids and Dan finally joined us and we got to head over to Test Track for some big curves and test dummies!

Stole a picture at the end and got ready to head out to WS and our reservations for Biergarten!

Oh Dawn you have what we call the Kavorka in our house. Have you seen the episode of Seinfeld with Kramer and the Kavorka( the lure of the animal)? My husband has this same affliction. :rotfl: No matter where we go people gravitate to him! They will totally ignore me and make a bee line straight to him. His dad and brother have it too!! My brother-in-law got stuck talking to a carnie once heard all about his heart attack while in line to buy a deep fried snickers! :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Here is part of the episode!

What's the deal with her shoes, one on and one off? :lmao:
I think she had a blister. I am just glad she only removed that!

HOLY SMACK BATMAN!!!! That is so funny!

It happened again in Charleston the other day while we were at Boone Hall Plantation. A red haired young, adult, demon who reminded me of Malachi from "Children of the Corn." I will tell you all about him on the next TR!!!

I think all college kid's accounts look the same. Except my roommate last year, who swears that her family isn't rich, but her grandparents sent her money every week just because. But she was nice enough to spend some on me.

When I was in the preteen stage, I got sick every time I went to Disney. A bad cold one year, stomach bug the next, and one year where my parents and I all got food poisoning on the way down (I would NOT recommend the Crab Trap) and spent our entire first day in our hotel room phoning housekeeping.

I totally agree about water on Soarin!!!! The first time I rode it, I remember seeing us go towards the waves and thinking "Oh crap my feet are gonna get wet and I hate wet feet." Then I remembered it was just a screen. Now I think they should get just a teensy wet, to make it more realistic.

And if my feet are wet enough to bug me, I can always sit down on a bench and take one shoe off.

I think she had a blister. I am just glad she only removed that!
