I have no idea how I missed this TR for almost a month! I didn't realize you had gone back to Disney. How did I miss this?????? Reading this is almost like deja vu. If you didn't drive, your TRs would not be half as fun. Its all your roadie adventures that are such a hoot.

I can't believe you got a dog - Kizzy! I love that name. That's what we call one of our cats - Kizzy is short for her original name - Kismet.

Don't even get me started on liquor sale laws in Illinois, what do you mean I can't buy beer for a barbecue on a Sunday.

That actually varies by town. Some are "dry" on Sundays, others you just have to wait until noon. Not that I would know. Sometimes there would be a line outside the locked off liquer department before noon on Sundays.

Haven't been on here in a while and I come to see there are gajillion pages, i've got a lot of catching up to do. And I missed a contest, SHOOT!

Dawn, my name is not a stutter, it's like a cat purring the name "kirrrby". (which is a nickname I acquired in high school)

ALSO! The restaurant in KY should not be bland. In the south, there is not one excuse except being on the verge of massive cardiac failure to have bland food!!!! As a girl born and raised in the South, I used to carry hot sauce around with me in my purse to take care of those not seasoned enough dishes.

Also, Kizzy is adorable, I also just got a puppy. She is what takes up ALL my time, literally. I love her though, her name is Ginger.

Thanks! I am the only one who has a way to get him to places and get his wheelchair with so it falls on me for that piece of it. Your time is not your own it seems and then with 2 kids in 2 sports each right now, my evenings are not great either. After the sale - I will have more daytime available!

Treyner is excited to come home and I think relived the freshman year is under his belt. We have learned a lot.

I am off to bed at 8:30. Tired. I will get a chapter off here in the morning and then I have the entire day to get garage sale organized.

Marking everything a set price as far as clothes go so it should be easy to just sort. Household stuff all marked already and now, just hope it does not rain all day Fri and Sat!!

Treyner is not doing much better - they put him on antibiotics Monday ( he went to a reg doc then after the urgent care on Sunday) for strep but is just drained. He said he was glad Dan would be going to drive with him because all he wants to do is sleep.

He rented a storage unit so most of his dorm stuff is staying in Anderson and he should have only stinky clothes and stinkier soccer stuff to pack.

Dan is thrilled.

Treyner actually had a conversation with me about the fact his dirty clothes pile is so high that he doesn't think his socks will ever come clean.

I told him to wash them before he gets home.

He said he was saving them for me since he knew I missed him.

I told him that even he has a limit to how successful the kiss butt charisma can go!

BTW - for everyone who has been wanting to now what Carsyn's boyfriend looks like... I snapped this pic at her rugby game:

She said it was a gross pic but I have no other one yet...so tough luck and I think it is cute!

Here is one she just sent me from Ben's phone that she likes better. Don't tell her I kept the first one up too!

Honestly, he treats her so well. Bought her a stuffed animal from his zoo trip with his niece and nephew, took off his sunglasses tonight and gave his to her when she did not have any, took her out to dinner tonight and on and on.
He absolutely thinks of her first all the time and it is nice to see a guy treat a girl like that, esp when it is your daughter.

He plans on taking all college courses next year so he can get a jump start on his medical degree.

I am trying to find a complaint and so far - there is none. Says hi to Dan and I when he comes to the house, offers to help her with chores if she has any when he is here...I am so happy for her. She deserved a great guy and God blessed her with one.

She is a "Bocker" - Beagle and Cocker Spaniel. And oh my, she is annoying. Two of the loudest breeds, together.


Also, Carsyn and Ben look adorable together, But you have to know, Chivalry isn't dead yet! I've got me a one of those nice guys, and you wouldn't think so, him being in the Marine Corps and all. But he is. I hope they stay together! Best wishes.

Also, the things you mentioned about the way he treats her...in my experience, you can tell immediately if a guy is doing things just to 'impress' or he's genuinely considerate, and the things you mentioned sound like he's just been raised to be a genuinely considerate person. That's something that can't be changed, it's either in you or it's not. Hang on to him!!




Oh, and Kirrrby, LOVE your puppy!! I have a Cocker Spaniel, so if your dog got the playfulness of it's cocker spaniel genes - so fun! I love their energy and loving nature!

Wasn't going to write about this because I feel like we belong in an ongoing episode of ER the last few months but...I will not be getting an update done I promised because...

I am on my way to doctor with Carsyn who last night during her game, received an illegal, dangerous tackle. Some big girl took her down from behind with her arm around Carsyn's throat. As she spun her around and down, Carsyn landed on her left knee with all of her weight and all of the other girls. Being good in Rugby is great except when it means others are gunning for you!

Knee was swollen last night and we iced it. She could not resume play That is why Ben was with her on the ground while the game was going on) and while walking forward was fine, she could not bend it backward past maybe 30 degrees. Hoping it would be better with Ibuprofen and ice.

Not so much.

Last night when she went to use the bathroom, she realized that she can not bend her knee to sit without it "locking." This morning, Baylor came running upstairs and here was Carsyn, begging for help to get off the toilet. Literally sobbing. She never cried during her stitches episode. If it is so painful you do not care if your Brother sees you half neked, you know it is bad.

So we are off to either the ER or urgent care and hopefully nothing major is wrong.

So much for a TR update and I do not think I will get a lot done for a garage sale either.

I will let you guys know.

Not to scare you and mind you I am MUCH older than Carsyn, but I suffered a knee injury last June and it has taken me until this month where it finnally feels OK.
Then again I tore cartilge but not enough for surgery.

I hope nothing is torn or broken! I will be praying for you.
