Depending on what part you are in it takes us about 18 hours with stops to get to Wrightsville Beach NC if that gives you any idea!

I had tried to come up with unique food stops on our way and we missed a few in Lafayette so next up, was Louisville!

I know, I know, they aren't all the same size. I did my best, but I don't have a melon baller or an ice cream scoop that has the release thingy. Its on my to buy list. Hey, its my birthday next Friday if anybody wants to send me one

I'm tired, so I'm going to do the filling/frosting tomorrow.

Wow would really appreciate the french toast recipe.

I'm going up to the Isle of Lewis on Monday for a few days so who knows how much this thread will grow will I'm away! (no internet up there, beautiful island, abit like Ireland, but no internet in our cottage)
I have a new BlackBerry but still can't use the little bugger yet so can't check whilst I'm away. Lol.
So this will be my last post for a while! (Actually working tomorrow, shock shock horror horror!)

I am glad you made them - I did not have a release thing either on my scoop - and the one I had made the huge cookies - Dan is informing me there are a variety of sizes of icecream scoops - so I will let ya know what I find.

I know every oven is different - I usually set my oven timer to about 3 minutes sooner than the recipe calls for and then check like a hawk so the bottoms do not get over-done. I also ama firm believer in silicone baking mats - is a huge help to not over browning your bottoms!

The gravy is a white country gravy...not a brown gravy for roasts...the gravy can be really good or taste like flour and milk if the chef is cheap!

Being from the south I can't imagine having never eaten biscuits and gravy! I think we're born loving gravy down here!

Ooh, we hit the Loveless Cafe too! It was a bit of a disappointment, but the sweet tea and preserves served with the biscuits were amazing! I did have to get myself a magnet for my fridge that said Praise the Lard and Pass the Biscuits!

ACTUALLY I use the mixer to get the tassles spinning...

The family loves the cookies! How did I know I would get busted out about the peanut butter? I had turned the jar around so I wouldn't get yelled at, but apparently not enough... The kids want me to make them again(and they aren't even gone yet ).

Well, back out to finish with the tree. We just dropped a 45 foot walnut Anyone want to come help move branches? I'll put some pictures on my PTR later.

Ok, all this food talk is NOT helping me. I really, really wanted to make the chocolate and peanut butter bars for my birthday this week, but then I remembered that I have a goal of losing 50 pounds before I turn 40 in a year and 3 days so I didn't buy the ingredients. Now, I am sitting on my sofa and wondering if I have the energy to go to the store again and get the stuff. Instead, I'm going to head to my cupboard and eat a 90 calorie fiber one bar. So not the same!!
