I wonder if the #s are on the bricks, if we were in the general area of were our brick will be set, do you think we would be able to determine about were our brick will be set without the map.

[QUOTEThe only problem is, my app was faxed in on the 25th as well, and I haven't received anything in the mail. I'm hoping it's just because it wasn't mailed until the "official" decision was made when I got the email last week, but at this point, I'm not counting on anything.][/QUOTE]

did you get charged on your cc for the brick and did you get an email with your brick #, so now you are waiting on the cert. & map?

I am wondering about the map and certificate too, but if you look at post number 37 on page 3, it shows a picture of an actual brick and shows how the number system works on the brick.

i was just looking at that photo, interesting, i think it only took 10 days for
TheycallmeTiggs from the time they order the brick to getting the cert./map

we are leaving wed. and i was hoping to get something in the mail before we go.

We faxed ours on the 30th and did not make the cut off (no charge on our cc) and while I am disappointed I am not surprised. We should be used to this if we are regular disney fans... this is just how they seem to run things at the world. No one knows what is going on, the left hand and right hand don't talk and the internet helps and hurts us in times like these. Perhaps due to the overwhelming response they will decide to finish the walkway and charge $500 a brick ;) . Either way, we're disappointed, but understand that it's just Disney for you.

You can find your brick without your map, you are supposed to be able to call them and tell them your brick # and they give you the location in case you have forgotton. We had to do that with our original brick at the TTC.

I am really confused....TheycallmeTiggs...did you end up getting one or not??? how do we really know?

I also have an email/number but no cert/map yet. so who is to say that any of us are really getting actual bricks...did I miss a post....:confused3

Yes, I did get a certificate and a map. The map is actually posted on this thread. And what do you mean by how do we really know?

I'm currently awaiting a new map and certificate(s) as my brick location has changed.

It took 10 days from when I faxed my application to receiving the documents in the mail.

I guess I still remember the pre-mid-90s disney, when the customer was (usually) always right, and if something like this happened, they would make it right, not send a form response. I still wish the disney service was as good as it used to be, and I'm still disappointed when it does not measure up.

I think that if I had gotten a personal response from my email, I would not feel so annoyed. I understand that things happen... but it is how a company handles it that matters. Since it took them 3 days to respond to my email, I thought I would be getting something that at least mentioned the problem that I had, or addressed why it happened. If I had gotten that, I would still be disappointed, but I would not be as annoyed as I am now.

Well, I'm happy for those who got theirs, and sorry if I got too bitter there for a min.

these were the thoughts in my tired delirium when I was reading pgs 30-45 last night.
:coffee: :faint:

I guess I should have just done one with the family name. I was waiting until our next is born (due date is the 20th), so we could put our names on it. Oh well, but like others have stated, perhaps with this type of response, Disney will look for a way to extend this program. As a shareholder, I sure hope so.

:lmao:

I received my email to say that we got our brick....

Our number is: WA1769

Forgive me if this has been asked/answered before..... but is it assumed that the greater number of bricks on your list for this area is probably due to the heavier traffic in that area?.... that there were a lot of "broken" bricks to replace?

As far as I know Disney has never stated that they were replacing broken bricks. They have only ever said that they were "filling in empty spaces". It's possible that in the last months of the program the bricks were selling slowly and maybe not all the spots were filled in the first place. Someone mentioned as well that maybe people asked to have their brick taken down (Like if you got a wedding brick then got divoriced). I also still think that they may be adding extra rows in some places to accomodate everyone if the bricks were truely oversold, and that would account for alot of people being in one section.

Did you just get the email today? When did you send your application? I don't think anyone has discussed why there seems to be more bricks sold in one area than in another area. Congrats!!:goodvibes

Someone may have answered this previously, but are we sure the numbers match the locations? I am in EA5 which I assume is E5 on the map but I know there was some confusion on this earlier. Hopefully my stuff will show up soon and I will have my answer but really can't wait. Sorry.

Thanks very much for your input - that makes sense!!

No, I got my confirmation before today... but not too long ago... I've been reluctant to post, because it sounds like... for WHATEVER reason... I was able to get my brick, even though I sent in my application AFTER others who have indicated that they didn't get their's..... I didn't want to cause any more problems for this poor CM who's been trying to handle this mess...
