EDIT: Yeah, so I was posting this at the same time as the posts above, so it's repeated info, but here it is anyway....


I faxed my form last week and received this via email today:

Dear (me),

Thank you for your application for a path stone in Walk Around the World
at the Magic Kingdom® Resort Area.

We truly apologize for any misunderstanding. On occasion, we have
extended a courtesy that primarily consists of replacing damaged path
stones for Guests. However, please know that we are not selling new
path stones, as this offer is no longer available. Your Visa account
ending in #### has not been charged in reference to your application for
a path stone. You may be assured that your comments have been shared
and taken seriously.

We hope this information is helpful, and look forward to future
opportunities to entertain you at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

I'm glad they've shared and taken my comments seriously, since my comment was basically...hey! here's my money, please give me a brick!:rotfl:
 
Personally I think they handled this all wrong. I called and spoke to a CM on the 30th and got the application e-mailed tome that same day. I don't have access to a fax so I mailed it the next day.
 
Well that response is just vague enough to get anybody POed! I guess they're basically they're saying that they reserve the right to resell when they wish and won't promise anything to anyone. Sorry you guys didn't get bricks!!
 
Mine came from Eric as well. Probably cc'd to everyone who sent an email.

My thing is if they made a mistake, fine, it happens. But at least own up to it and try to rectify the situation as best as they can.
 

Even though my phone message was simliar to Laugh O. Grams, it sounded like they were doing me a favor selling me a brick. It was kind of odd. The person didn't leave a phone number to return a call.

My first email wasn't like the ones posted. It was the form note saying something like thank you for contacting them, and they will read it later. Then it was followed up with the call today.
 
I had a message on my answering machine yesterday too. It was saying they appreciated my email and were sorry for all the confusion but yes I was getting a brick. I was nice in my email just saying that if I wasn't getting a brick I wanted my money back in a timely manner. I faxed mine in May 29th if that helps anyone.
 
Did anyone hear anything yet? Any certificates in the mail?:surfweb:

Well, I received my application at 4:51 am on May 31st and faxed it back immediately. The charge was made to my cc on June 1st. I'm still hoping against hope that I'll get a certificate/map/email/whatever with good news. We have bricks in the forecourt at the Disneyland Resort and it would be really cool to have one at WDW.

The envelope had "Magic Kingdom" as the return address. My DH was off from work on Monday so was here to get the mail. I was nervous that he would ask about it, but he didn't. He just assumed it had something to do with my extensive trip planning.:goodvibes

Who signed your certificate?
 
I wonder why WA1 location has so many openings?

When we were there last month I noticed a bunch of empty spaces around the whole W1, W2, W3, W4 areas.

we rode the monorail a lot due to staying at the Poly...so I noticed along that path. ;) ;)
 
Thanks. I guess we were lucky that they decided to fill those spaces. still waiting though.
