Personalized bricks at Polynesian

Mine and my friends were faxed on the 31st, a bit before 9:30am. My card was charged the next day.

............via email.............. in the subject line there was nothing so be careful before deleting any mail.

We got ours today, however, DW deleted it because of no subject line. I just saw this so I asked her and sure enough it came so I hope I get something in the mail soon. Was the email just to let you know what the number was and that a certificate was coming?
 
Sometimes the deleted Mail gets saved in a trash file for a period of time you my want to check.
 

Well I wonder if we call now to find out now what the deal is.

Maybe I will fax it again, just to see what happens.
 
It's a go! We received an e-mail this morning confirming that we were assigned a brick and the number is EA5696! DH and I are so excited!!! The e-mail came without a subject line and it said, "Hello. This Dean from Disney's Walk Around the World. You will be receiving a certificate authenticity and map of your pathstone location. Your brick number is EA5696. Thank You. Dean." Not much to it. :goodvibes I believe that we ordered on May 25th. I hope those who haven't heard get good news soon!

This has been quite a Rock 'n Roller Coaster ride for me, too. :sad1: Talked to Dean 6/1 and he faxed info while we were still chatting on the phone. I waited (foolishly?) til 6/4 to fax back. No charge on cc and no email. We have a brick from 12/97 which was for our 10th anniversary. This one was to be for our 20th Anniversary as a surprise for my DH. Please send loads of pixie dust for those of us waiting to hear. :surfweb:

Yeah, but I have ours set to empty upon exiting, so it is gone. I may try to call and see if I can get any info, but hopefully I will receive the certificate soon and not have to worry about an email. :thumbsup2
 
Has anybody got someone to answer the 407-824-7890 number during the day? I have been calling all day and all I ever get is a recording. I just got through now and spoke with Roger. He did not have access to any faxes to see if mine is being processed. He told me to call back tomorrow to speak with Dean. Never had any luck with someone answering during the day. I have the Disney switchboard number from my CM days, I think I will try that to see if they can connect me to MK stroller rental.

I was so excited when I came across this thread tonight, but if I want to get any sleep at all, I won't be able to read thru all the pages. I did read some random pages, and it sounded as if the program had ended, and I wouldn't have any luck in purchasing new bricks. But then the last page gave me some hope, again.

Please update me on the status of this program. Our family will be there in Sept, and I would love to surprise our family with the new bricks. Thanks!
 
The switchboard can put you thru to strollers. I started by calling the 800 number and went thru travel co. then transferred to switchboard, then to strollers.
Both times that I've called strollers though, I learned that the stroller CMs are not the brick CMs so they've either given me other numbers or taken a message and my call was returned by the appropiate CMs.
Last night when I called, I spoke with a kind lady who said they'd stopped manning the walk around the world kiosk.
She did say that she expected those who were charged would get their bricks but I'd have to speak with the CM in charge who had all the forms (neither Dean or Denise but presumably their supervisor) for specific details on if/where my brick location or application form might be.
Thankfully, before I left a message for anyone they came thru and sent the location emails out this morning.

:love: Thank you, thank you, oh wonderous brick fairy. We have joined the ranks of disney freaks with bricks and couldn't be happier. I'm so glad you don't ignore us like that silly ol' tag fairy does. We will smile in gratitude whenever we think about our little $295 piece of the kingdom just waiting there so folks can walk all over us...

I don't know if you're referring to me, but I said either 5/30 or 5/31. I don't have time to go look back at all of my posts on this thread, but my charge was pending on May 30th, so it was before the 31st. I doubt that helps any but I wanted to clarify.... I hope you get yours as well! :goodvibes

Now, anyone still even somewhat concerned (besides me) that they'll somehow say that this is all another fluke, or that the "front' CMs were misinformed once again? :confused3 :blush:

NOPE not me......I would say THIS IS A DONE DISNEY DEAL. :cool1:

It's possible that they did only have under a hundred bricks to sell and that the date doesn't have as much to do about closing the program as much as they ran out of the bricks they were going to sell. So even if a person faxed in a request on the closing date, they still might not get one if they were out of bricks. Good luck though. Maybe they are still sorting out paperwork?

I'd still like to know what happened to the bricks that were in those spots that the new bricks will replace?

Yeah I agree, maybe they decided to honor whoever was charged, but will not put any new orders through. If you don't already have the charge on your card I would say you might be out of luck. I'm guessing those of us in random section (E5, W6 etc) are probably filling in for those who may have asked to have their bricks removed. I have a feeling though that they might have decided to add an extra "ring" around the center circle to accomodate all of the requests since there seems to be a large number of people in that spot. They would definately have room to do that, and that way no one leaves angry :) I would think that if they were just taking out people's bricks that might make some people angry, especially if they had a prime spot like that.

It's possible, and I do hope that everyone who wants one will be able to get one. I do think that the original number of 20,000 may have been high though, I dont' know how many bricks are there in total, but it seems like 20,000 empty ones would be hard to miss. Also, someone saw the kiosk in March and who knows how long it was there before/after that. They could have sold ALOT of bricks before we got wind of this. Lets not forget as well that we're not the only Disney community who probably heard of this. It's possible this has been going around the internet for quite some time and alot more bricks were sold than we're anticipating.
 
Has anyone who did not get their info back email guest services to complain or question it? We shared the application with our friends down the street and I even faxed the form for them (same day I did ours). We got ours and they heard nothing. She emailed Guest relations and still no word and her card was not charged. In the end, I hope everyone can get their brick. I always pondered the empty spots on the walkways and wondered why they didn't fill it all up.

I couldnt get thru the other day so I had my sister keep calling for me to see who would get someone first...She got Denise & I got Dean... Dean was very sweet and said "so many people were calling about this and he cant believe how fast it got around".... but they were only selling a certain amount of bricks and he said "at this time" they were closed.... To me he kind of stressed the "at this time" so I hope they start a new walkway or something so my family can get a brick... by that time it might be up to $500!!! :scared1:
