Hi! We are getting ready to purchase approx. 250 pts at SSR and I'm doing research on how best to use our points and money for planning. At this time I'm thinking a full week in November would be great, but also we could squeeze in a 3-4 day trip in the summer as well. What is the best option for tickets? We usually don't park hop but maybe we would being in the DVC program now. I'm also thinking about annual passes or are the no expiration tickets the best. Also, we have 2 small children, and I thought just staying in a beautiful resort and swim for 3-4 days would be a great vacation in the summer for them and when we return in November we could hit the parks. Have any of you ever done that? Do the kids get bored and is the proximity of the parks too much to tease them with? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

The biggest incentive to getting an AP is the $100.00 cost savings per ticket being a DVC member. We also like the fact tht we still got free parking with an AP even when we stayed at an off-site hotel. Some people like the discount on tours and the 40% off on regular rooms at various times throughout the year. :cool2:

You need to take your travel habits into consideration and do the numbers. For us sometimes a AP is the best deal, other times the 10 day pass is best.

I had a lot of developer points to use so I had several trips planned, the AP worked out to be less money for me next I am not sure if I am going to renew it when it expires as I think the ten day non expiring ticket will work out better next year.
