it might not be worth it however. of a 30 minute program 22-23 minutes are story and 7-8 minutes are adverts. So your only going to get points for 8 minutes in a 30 minute period. I think regular perk tv would be better.

Unless you can do this on a 6th device. Then you can add another phone to your fleet and it would only be a bonus

I don't know if it's available on android yet. I guess that you can check google play to see if there has been an update over the weekend. They may have rolled this out on iOS first as a beta test.

The math works out in favor of the Movie Trailers and Popular Videos if they are short (around 30 seconds). If they run longer or if you run Live TV in the "forced" mode (not "listening" for commercials but launching the ads from the app), you might be able to earn more with Live TV. There's no way of knowing if the app crashes constantly.

I'm running it in forced mode on an iPhone 4s this morning. It hasn't crashed but it does require interaction about every 2 minutes when running it this way. It still have not been able to get it to "listen" to my TV and indicate that it "hears" commercials.

It works perfectly for me. I'm using an iPod touch 5th generation. I have been using the live tv instead of the movie trailers and popular videos ever since it came out. I didn't understand at first but i'm pretty good now. I use it all the time, when I'm at home, because yeah you need the tv. It picks up pretty well. I've found that you just need to get the green dot glowing, and after that you don't have to sit in front of the tv. Or at least thats what i do. I'm sitting in front of my computer with no tv in the room and its still working for me. I keep it running, because I also found that you don't have to wait for the commercials to come on. And it also doesn't matter what show you pick. I just choose a random show already on the first page. Only downfall is that you can't just leave it sitting there, you constantly have to put it back on. It earns points pretty fast. This is what works for me. My advice is to just play around with it and see what works for you.

is perkTv slowing down for anyone else? We went to Disney in the middle of October so I took a break. I have 6 devices, and 1-2 were running swagbucks apps until we hit our first goal before switching one over to perk. I was consistently cashing out $25 on the same day every week. Since we've been back, I haven't been running swagbucks hardly at all because I was only able to hit my 2 week goal for the month and wanted to concentrate on perk until 11/1. I cashed out for $25 on Sunday night, and it's now Friday and I don't even have 12000 points! It seems like the load time between videos is very slowly, most of the phones just have a black screen with that white circle in the middle. A few days ago I deleted a bunch of apps and disabled some on the android phones (I use 2 iphone 4's, 2 lg shine, and 2 kyocera events but never have more than 5 running perk at once) and cleared the app cache on them but it does not seem to have helped anything.

Mine has also been extremely slow. It also stalls on some ads and I have to reboot to get it going again. I just uninstalled and reinstalled it and so far it seems to be running faster.

Mine slowed down a lot over the weekend, but it's been going ok since Monday.


I do shut down all my devices and reboot them at least once a day. I saw somebody post once that it helps, so I just made it a habit.

Thanks, reinstalling the apps has helped a ton! I had 12732 when I went to bed last night, and as of right now I have 15064. Not $5/day but better than the 5 days it took me to get to to $12! I'm not complaining though. Even at the slow rate it's still more money for Christmas gifts & vacation.

I'll admit, I pretty much never turn the phone off unless it freezes. I need to start doing that once a day.

Every phone is different. Look at the settings and then wi-fi. There should be an option to turn off data and use wi-fi only somewhere in there.

Perk has had server issues on and off for the past couple days. A lot of people are affected, but not everyone. It seems to be only affecting certain ISPs, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Completely agree! I did do a factory reset on my 4 Perk phones and they seem to be running better, but still not $1/phone/day. I use my cell phone to run Perk at night, just not during the day.

You just download the App and when you watch TV when a commercial comes on you hit the red circle. Its nice thought because the App has no way to tell how many commercials are playing

I have tried it a couple times but it never hears a commercial and when I tap to play it crashes the app.

I just keep tapping the red dot every time I see it. Have you tried reinstalling it? I know when I first start it up I put my devices next to the TV and turn it up loud so it recognizes the TV, then after that I'm good.
