Worth it?

Gosh, I hate worth it questions. They're so subjective. But, what are your experience. Are they worth the cost?

I bought a pair of Vionic thongs. They are helpful with their higher arch and they are comfortable, but they do seem heavy to me. I have to admit that I do revert back to my Nike and Teva, despite the fact that are not great for the foot troubles.

DD has incredibly high arches and wears orthotics in her regular shoes. She had a pair or Vionic slippers and flip flops and says they are the next best thing to her prescription inserts.

My daughter has a pair of the sandals. She loves them. Makes her feet feel so much better. They will probably be all she wears from here on out. They are a bit expensive (to say the least!) but I've been looking on Amazon and they have some at lower prices if you aren't as concerned about the exact style you want.

Never tried them but I have to say a trip to the podiatrist might help you get into some custom orthotics. I wear orthotics and it does help me.

I tried them and they didn't really work for me. They threw my gait off which actually caused me more pain. I stick to my New Balance sneakers and Crocs, the only brands I can wear without my orthotics.

If you wear flip flops, then Vionics are a fantastic way to get the arch support. You might also look at Oofos. They are ugly as all get out, but they also provide incredible support. The biggest differences are that Oofos look more like crocs and have more cushioning, while Vionics fall into the category of "Fancy flops."

I have a pair of the Vionic thongs, and I really like them. After a day at work, I'll come home and put them on, and ahhh, relief!!

Love, love, love my orthaheel sandals and slippers. It's the only brand besides Keen that I can go without my orthotics.

I've been wondering about these. Heard about them for the first time last winter and now they seem to be all over the place. I have knee issues that are being worked out in PT and if they help keep my knees happy I'd be willing to spend the money. However my wide feet always seem to get in the way.

I have 3 pairs of Vionic thong sandals and I love them all, very comfy!!

I was MISERABLE with planter fasciitis for a couple of years-tried all the otc treatments (and I've have custom orthotics in my shoes as well) until I gave a try to a variation of an exercise my podiatrist said I would be given if sent to p/t. he said I would be given either a tennis ball or a full bottle of water and told to put my affect foot on these and told repeatedly roll them from just below my toes down past my arch to the beginning of my heel-then back (not by hand, by putting my foot on the item and rolling it back and forth). I ended up doing the same thing by sitting on my sofa and putting my foot on the edge of my coffee table and rubbing the sole back and forth over and over while watching tv. I kid you not-within a week there was a little difference, within a month tremendous difference-and within 3 months no further issues. I've not had pain for about 3 years-and when I start to feel a bit of tenderness flare up I start in again and it's gone in a few days (it's a matter of stretching the affected area).

it's not painful so give it a try before you spend money on anything.

I have 2 pair of Orthaheel Vionic sandals and I love them! I also have custom orthotics, but I can't use them with sandals, they are visible plus they slide all over. The Orthaheel feel like I'm wearing orthotics without the hassle.

If you buy them from QVC you can wear them for 30 days, and if you don't like them you can send them back for a full refund with no questions asked. Just remember, they take a little getting used to. Wear them a few hours at a time the first couple of days to gradually get used to them.

Do you have a Foot Solutions store in your area? If so, I highly suggest stopping in. We sell Vionic, as well as a lot of other options. You'll get a full evaluation which will result in them suggesting several shoes that will work best for your specific foot. Plantar Fasciitis is something we see A LOT, so we can really help put you in the best possible shoe. (This includes athletic shoes, sandals, and dress shoes as well as both custom and OTC orthotics)

While I love my Vionic Orthoheel thongs, I had to get used to the strap that goes between the toes. After that, I find them very comfortable. (I bought mine on QVC too!)
