People waiting in line say the darndest things!

For some reason this makes me think of The Muppet Movie

Kermit: "Its a myth, a myth!"
Waitress: "Yes?"

The random things that pop into my mind sometimes.

:lmao: All of the Muppet movies have the BEST lines!!!

I love this - because I'm always eavesdropping on people in line. This happened this year while in line for the E.T. ride at Universal Studios....
a mom and her child (perhaps around 10-12 years old) were behind me having this conversation:

*The boy notices the picture of drew barrymore on the wall on the inside of the attraction. This is the famous scene where young barrymore meets E.T. for the first time.

Boy: *points to picture* "mom, who is that?"
Mom: "that's drew barrymore when she was little"
Boy: "Oh, Is she dead yet?!?!"
mom:"no, honey, she's mommy's age now"

I thought this was hilarious since the kid thought this movie was beyond ancient and because of that, the movie's stars must be deceased by now. :-)

Loved Steve Martin's cameo as the Insolent Waiter- "Sparkling Muscatel, the finest wine of Idaho" "Would you like to smell the bottlecap?"

:lmao: I could quote Muppet Movies all day!

Statler [At the end of "The Muppet Movie"]: "Well, all well that ends well."
Waldorf: "I don't care ... Just as long as it ENDS!"

Sam the Eagle ["The Great Muppet Caper"]: "You are all WEIRDOES!"

I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I heard from someone else, but I've got one that *I* said. It's probably one of those you-had-to-be-there stories, but I'll tell you anyway.

It was evening EMH at Animal Kingdom, October 2008. DBF and I had just come out of Festival of the Lion King and were walking the long trail out of Camp M-M. It was about halfway through our week at the World and we had been in the parks from after breakfast till close every day. I was exhausted, so we sat down on a bench near Pizzafari.

I started going through all the characters we had met so far, and the ones we had to find still. I was *trying* to tell DBF that we would be meeting Mickey and Pluto at 'Ohana the next morning, but I was also thinking about how we hadn't run into Goofy yet. So out of my mouth comes:

'Well, tomorrow we'll see Ploofy...' and I paused and then just LOST it.

I must have cracked up for 5 minutes, I was so slap happy and tired. :lmao: I'm fairly certain anyone that was around us must have thought I had lost my mind. :rotfl: I kept screaming 'PLOOFY!!!! BAHAHAHA!'

Not nearly as funny when I tell the story now, but at the time, oh man... :rotfl2:

:upsidedow I'm glad someone besides me finds it funny; I asked DBF and he barely remembers this!

Pluto + Goofy = Ploofy!

That reminds me when my cousin and I were going to see Muppetvision 15 years ago or so....

Me: Cool! Muppetvision 3-D! Let's go!

Cousin: Aw, man! I can't wait to see Kerbit!

I heard this at my local bank...

I remember falling into bed at Fort Wilderness, laying ther thinking "my feet are tired, by back is tired, my whole body is tired, even my face is tired. Why is my face tired? Oh, ya, I've been smiling all day." What a nice feeling!:goodvibes

Funny?, I dont know many i cant seem to remeber the ones that crack me up:confused3,i wish i did,but I love the conversations that you can join with, i love to chit chat with other people from around the country and the world!.

Annoying at the time but we still laugh about this...We were in the room waiting for the doors to open at the Little Mermaid show at DHS and the doors to the theater were closed and the room was filling up and this little boy was waiting with his family, he was probably 3 maybe and he just kept repeating, "I wanna get outta here...get me outta here.." the parents just kept trying to rationalize with him to stay and he just kept repeating over and over. It was a little annoying because he was very loud but after the fact it kind of became comical. My DS always now says..."get me outta here.." in this little 3 year old voice.

We were in that room in Dec and it was unseasonably warm, I felt the exact same way!

Standing in line at Lion King..

Man in front loudly singing along

Ahhhhhhhh Pennsylvania ..
because we all know there is a Pennsylvania Africa :lmao:

Whoopi goldberg does a bit about this for the beginning of the lion king..."Ahhhh Pennsylvania, Where the white people go...!" Now, go listen to the song and you will crack up.:rotfl2:
