My friend has been calling for over a week and today they applied the 40% discount. Anyone book the code today?

I'm sorry - The fact that this is STILL happening a week after it started is inexcusable on Disney's part. Absolutely ridiculous.

Hey, congrats to those getting it. But the fact that people are STILL getting different stories from Disney CM's on this is absolutely assanine.

I truly am shocked. I can see mistakes and miscommunications can occur, even at Disney, but this has gone on WAY too long.

What code is this, pray tell?
Is it something to do with the postcards and pin numbers?
I'm guessing that reservations havent been asking for the pin?

My friend called CRO at the 1-800 number.......

I was wondering if the 1-800 # would get you directly to WDW. I'm not talking about the one on people's cards that have pins/codes...I'm talking about one that ever-so-often I see people ask for here on regular posts.
When I called the other day I asked the CRO where he was located (the connection was fuzzy)--Orlando or California. He said he was in Tampa.

Do you have the 1-800 and does it work just the same as the 407-W#?
Or is the 1-800 only for DVC?

I booked this morning..just checked disney.com and I'm in their reservation system.

I am calling back later to change my dates though to 5/28-6/3. Hope I don't mess it up!

I have called several times including today to check on certain dates and each time mentioned the code. I have never been told no unless it was a blackout date.

Do you just ask if there's any codes attached to your name, when making the ressie? Or, did you give them the specific codes that are floating around? Any help GREATLY appreciated!!! I'd love to get a deal before our 7 nt. cruise in Sept.! :)

I modified my reservation this morning to apply the code.

I was not asked how I got the code... or if I had a pin. BTW I would have told the truth - that I did not have a pin and I found the code on the internet.

I was able to save over $500! :goodvibes

My thought is that perhaps Disney first restricted the code to those with a "pin", but since a week or so has passed and obviously rooms are still available at the special rate for some weeks, they opened it up to the general public.

Anyway, it's Disney's decision how they want to apply "their" codes. I'm not complaining about it!

i called twice yesterday to book.

the first time i (truthfull) told her that i have had trouble with my e-mail and wanted to check if there was a pin assosicated with my name. she checked and said no.

i then saw a bunch of posts where some were stating that they had not recieved the cards/e-mails but were able to use the codes.

i called back with the code info (no pin) and said i wanted to make a reservation using code &^%. it was processed without a question and without asking me for a pin.

HOWEVER (and this is a big however) the discount that i received was not 40% it was 30%. i used the room only discount code. My reservation was for 9 nights at the CBR from late Aug through Sept 1st. my total was $880.92inc tax. not too shabby in my opinion. I am going into this knowing that it may get cancelled at some point by WDW and if i get on property and they tell me that there was a mistake and i have to pay full price, i will shorten my stay signifigantly or pay the difference.

I deleted my email from Disney last week...not realizing we were scrapping the cruise idea and just doing parks! (and changing from Jan. to Oct....)
LUCKILY I popped in here looking for a code, saw the info, called today, got POP for the dates we want, gave her the code, she pulled me up in the system, got preferred rooms....only $66/nt!!! (only $75/nt w/ tax!)
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
Found air for only $250 pp w/ reasonable flying times!
I cannot believe this!
THANK YOU for helping me to correct my stupidity! I will SAVE all those emails from now on!

I booked this AM for 10/21/-10/28 for poly, 2A, dining, hopper...$2800. I just called to switch dates to 5/30-6/3. Poly was not available for my pin (turns out I had it with my name) so I asked about BCV..sold out. Finally got BC - water view for $2000 for 5 days, hopper, 2A, and dining.

that is 40% off. The rate is 145. plus taxes minus 40% is 880. and change:cheer2:

I just booked using the code this morning! (It's only 9 am in Alaska).
AKL(1 queen and 1 bunkbed), 2 adults, 2 children. Park hoppers with dining
$2800 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:
I am beyond excited. I cannot wait until my 9 yr old gets home from school. She wanted to stay there and with these savings..... WHOOO HOOOOO!

Where was the code posted originally?

I have a question. If I call to see if I can use the code, do I have to be prepared to pay a deposit immediately, or do I have a few days to do so?

I know TA's have courtesy holds but not sure if Disney does..worth a shot!
