PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

I did and bless you for mentioning it and it reminding me that we had some. I feel VERY bad that didn't think of it before poor Jeff left the house. We each need 2 cups in the am to be civilized human beings.

I was about to drink tea. Which to me is an afternoon adventure, with sugar on a blustery day. Granted, it is Seattle, in October so today does qualify for that. I am still a HUGE Tazo fan. Something about the Tea Shaman just makes me smile.

I've only tried the Italian Roast, which was always one of my favorites for a drip coffee but as VIA wow, it's a bit much, even for me. I am highly caffeinated!

Could be that my cup is too small....

I like the Columbian better myself. I don't mind the Italian Roast though, but it is stronger for sure.

Believe it or not--not a tea drinker. Not even Japanese tea. :confused3 I don't hate it. Just not what pops in my head when I think of a beverage.

I'm a soda fiend. I was thinking of asking the guys in my Bible Study to hold me accountable to stopping. It's really bad for you and I could save over 150/month if I didn't drink it at all and just drank water.

Can you believe it, I just heard from the recruiter...the guy is out sick today! But you know what? I feel really really well prepared and am at peace with it, whatever happens or how ever it goes. It will be sometime next week. It's a good feeling. An even better feeling is the big deal I've been working on for my current job is ready to talk numbers tomorrow!

And on the positive side...I don't have to cancel my microwave repair that was coming at the same time! I'd been holding off, hoping my mom could fill in and now I can go to Costco, get coffee, get stuff for my dinner party and have a working appliance. It works...I just can't read any numbers. Slightly problematic.

It's all good.

I'm glad you are more at peace. :thumbsup2 I threw up a prayer when I remembered that you were supposed to be doing the interview...

Yay for errands. My next update will be about what is needed for my trip.

Moose antlers??

Yeah, real berets from real France.

Do they sell cowboy hats in America or baseball caps?

bandanas in Japan?? UK, hmmm... Beefeater fuzzy black things??

:rotfl2:

I feel the need to photoshop.....

I'm thinking Uncle Sam hats in the US....

These were in Canada in 2005. Don't know if they're still there. This is a picture of my roommate, Jean, and travel agent friend, Donna.

I don't think you were talking about me Jenn..were you? But either way I'm forcing my way into this convo b/c NY pizza is near and dear to my heart. You can't really go wrong trying to find good NY pizza in NYC... John's is AWESOME. Very crowded b/c all the midtown office workers go there, as well as Times Square tourists, and it's listed in every travel guide. But seriously? It's worth it. Great setting too in the old church. My favorite is Two Boots pizza in nyc... I know they closed the one in Rockefeller Center but there's a few others around. By far my favorite two. :)

you must try authentic pizza! I wonder if I could just mail you some? :rotfl:

I need to get out that way to visit my brother who just move to CT. I've never been to NYC. Been to Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, DC, Miami, Boston...but never NYC:confused3

Although real coffee is hard to find at disney, it is there! You just have to know where to look. Have you seen the list on allears? It's not a complete list but it's not bad. Also...MANY of the TS locations that we ate at this past trip have all proudly switched over to 'real' coffee. The only one that failed miserably with their Nescafe crapola is Tusker House. The waitress at Tony's laughed when I asked her about the coffee and she said almost every TS has now converted over. It's the CS and other locations you have to be leery about! Kona is still the best though :)

Oh, that's right. I think the sponsorship with Nestle is coming to an end over already over. That means they can serve better coffee........:woohoo::woohoo:

I'm going to look at that allears list right now.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

They were back in a few years ago. Now they're out again.

But I see lots of college guys wearing plaid shorts again!
or 17 year old skateboarders, 10 year old skateboard wannabe's and 9 year old preppies...

Good idea on the bible study. I wish my mom would do that. Not only for the $$ but for the carbs and empty calories. Just that one change is huge from a diet perspective. I've grateful I'm not a soda fiend. I rarely even have it in the house. I like it. Especially on a Saturday with lunch but if I have it, the teens inhale it and so it's usually gone when I go to look for it anyway. And lord knows they do NOT need it!

I'm not a big herbal tea drinker but some of the fairly caffeinated ones...I likey. "Joy" and "Awake" are my fav's. Green tea is just weird.

Very at peace. :cool1:

We almost had a flying VIA moment there. Still coughing.

They say you can lose 1/2 a week just by cutting soda out if you drink 2-3 a day which I do.

It's a great pic. One of the few "hat" pics that I haven't seen on the DIS which leads me to believe they don't have them in stock anymore....:sad2:

Jordan, you can do the no soda thing! It's hard at first but I will say that it's getting easier as time goes on. My hardest time is at work, I was a stress soda drinker.

You want to know where the best NY pizza is???? Connecticut! LOL

Have your brother take you down to New Haven and get some NY style CT pizza. Pepe's, Crown Street, Modern, Sally's, you can't go wrong with any of these places! Pepe's is the most famous. Get a large pizza and a pitcher of beer and eat till there is no pizza or beer left!!!:woohoo:

Definitely TAKE the nap! :cloud9:

And PRAY no one takes MY picture! :scared1:

Outdoor naps are dangerous;)

Here's a list of my favorite places to nap at WDW:

Magic Kingdom

Carousel of Progress
Hall of Presidents
Country Bear Jamboree (bench seating makes good napping difficult)
Tiki Room (chairs not made for sleeping)

DHS

One Man's Dream
Great Movie Ride

Animal Kingdom

No where really MAYBE Nemo the Musical, FOTLK or ITTBAB but I've yet to fall asleep there...;)

Epcot

American Adventure
Universe of Energy
Spaceship Earth
Impresions de France
Hallway behind Club Cool and Character Connection
Reflections of China waiting area
O Canada waiting area

This is an awesome list!

MK - HOP is a GREAT napping location!

Epcot - I had a great nap right by the turnstiles on a bench waiting for my friends in Feb. They were slow. :rotfl2:

Spaceship Earth is a great nap place, too! But it would freak me out to wake up and be going backwards.

I would never even shut ONE eye in ITTBAB! :scared1:

I gotta check out this church of yours! :)

I thought mine was laid back!

i've done it for Lent and gone over 6 month w/o it, but it always creeps back into my life.

Ummm go for 2 slices and a beer.. You'll be fine!!!;)

I've fallen asleep for the whole ride before and woken up on the descent. I had no idea where we were.

Oh Muppets is another good place to nap. However, the last few times I've stayed awake. It might be dated, but I forgot how funny the show is. My cousin, her husband and I have all fallen asleep there for the whole show...at the same time.

My friend's church back in England back in the early 80s had bars at the church...:thumbsup2

Hi all. Sorry I've been silent lately, I've been working like a crazy person. 50-60 hour work weeks... but I have been checking, just not posting so much... but I'll chime in on a few choice things...

Just where are nut farms?

This struck me as funny... my continuation of this question would be "because all DISers need to go there to be committed!" hee hee hee...

The original... It's my favorite movie...

I will watch the new one, but to be honest it kinda creeps me out a little... I haven't decided if it really is creepy or if it is just because I am so set in my old Willy Wonka ways... :confused3

The Johnny Depp version creeps me out too... I couldn't even watch the whole thing. The original was so much better and not so dark and eerie (except that acid trip in the tunnel on the boat). But otherwise, good clean fun... and who wouldn't love a factory of candy :cloud9:

Yay for the original..:thumbsup2

I want a feast, I want a bean feast.....

LOVE that song... Veruca is so bad (a bad egg to be precise)...

I want a feast
I want a bean feast
Cream buns and doughnuts and fruitcake with no nuts so good you could go nuts.
No, now!
I want a ball
I want a party
Pink macaroons and a million balloons and performing baboons and
Give it to me now.
I want the world,
I want the whole world.
I want to lock it all up in my pocket
It's my bar of chocolate
Give it to me now!
I want today
I want tomorrow
I want to wear them like braids in my hair and I don't want to share them
I want a party with roomfuls of laughter
Ten thousand ton of ice cream
And if I don't get the things I am after
I'm going to scream!
I want the works,
I want the whole works!
Presents and prizes and sweets and surprises in all shapes and sizes,
And now!
Don't care how I want it now!
Don't care how I want it now!

I used to borrow this record (yes a RECORD) from the library when I was in elementary school. Loved to sing along with it.

Love how you took a nap with the lady near Test Track! :lmao:

Jordan has been known to sidle up to many a sleeping WDW guest. Good thing that most didn't wake up and want him arrested or anything. Would have put a damper on our trip. Hee hee.

Me? Thanks! Actually, I might start a PTR - I have a lot to plan for this trip and am far from a WDW expert, so...maybe. I have to figure out the boards a little bit better first, I was impressed that I pulled off quoting your post. If I did - I mean, I haven't posted yet so I'm kind of assuming it worked.

(When I was a kid, my dad always told me to count to 10 before I spoke. Obviously I never learned that lesson and I type like I talk, very stream-of-consciousness.):

So funnny... stream of consciousness writing is way more fun than boring old straight talk... ha ha ha. I type way faster than I write so I definitely love the stream of consciousness thinking.... gives people a little insight into your mind... :3dglasses

Ok, on to reading more posts....

Wendy, will your kids be freaked out if I come running up and squish their cute little cheeks?

Ok, Wendy check in part two, and then it's back to work...

I'm sure there are hats in every country.

The most popular I think are the berets, the rice patty hats in china, fez hats, sombreros and the viking hats....What hats do canadians wear?

Berets from the real France?

Methinks we have a "hat picture series" on the plans for this next trip.... last trip, emotion shots... this trip, hat pictures. Hmmmm... could make for some awesome photo ops. We always do fez pix but I think the kids would look so funny in them...

Sleeping pix have been going on for at least a decade at WDW.

Yes, first it was sleeping alone, then sleeping with people... hee hee hee. Sleeping is big with us.

It does take a special kind of crazy to send a "flat" self or to carry one around snapping pictures with one.

And we ARE a special kind of crazy for sure!! Hee hee hee.

We almost had a flying VIA moment there. Still coughing.

SOOOO funny. It should be an automatic pop up window that appears whenever you log onto this thread... "IT IT NOT ADVISED TO DRINK WHILE READING THIS THREAD. DRINK AT YOUR OWN RISK (and that of your computer)"

That was a funny time. We got in, sat down, leaned back and before we knew it, all were asleep. Woke up at the end and all looked at each other and realized none of us saw any of the movie. Hee hee hee. :rotfl2:

Wendy, will your kids be freaked out if I come running up and squish their cute little cheeks?

Just don't call Erin a Japanese doll... hee hee. She'll go (in her exasperated voice) "I'm NOT a doll!!!!" But maybe now you can call Ashlyn one and she won't know or care. Hee hee hee. I'll post some recent pix of them when I get a chance. Otherwise, they'll probably look at you and say, "hey, aren't you supposed to be flat?"

hee hee.
