i'm such a moron. i somehow forgot about the fiasco you're going through and just called the travel agent line to see about changing some dining reservations for a client. i got straight through, but the CM asked if i could call back later because their system was really backed up. i said, "sure," but in my head i was thinking, "oh, yeah....jordan's probaby still on hold with you guys!!!"

It looks like we were both up half the night making reservations, but you were able to make them a whole 2 hours before I was. If I knew there was a party in here it would have helped me pass the very sleepy time much faster.

Bummer that you got up so very early only to get frustrated by a system that seems woefully inadequate for the customer demand. Don't those people know how many serious foodies there are going to Disney parks???

Hope you can stay functional throughout the day and that you are able to get your ADRs.

Also, wanted to say sorry again for missing our meet when we were down at DLR. I was a mess for the rest of that week and did good to keep myself upright. Mostly walked around in a Niquil haze

Next time we make it down there I'll be there and I'll buy

Hmmmm....Teppan Edo and a few others always are on the fence until the last minute. I remember that for our last trip in 08. TE has just been remodeled and it wasn't known until the very end of December whether it was going to be on the DDP...I should go check my old PTR. I think we talked about it.

Continued good luck Cherie. I hope you can get through at some point today. It's definitely been frustrating.

FINALLY!!!!! I got through on the agent line again and their system is up....as of now.

I was able to get the rest of my ADR's and still get pretty close to the orginal times that I wanted.

Chapter 39. ADRs live!

3:03am. I'm in but it's taking awhile..i'm trying to make my first ADR right now.

3:06am. It's still trying to process my first request.

3:07am. Here's what the system is telling me:

3:14am. Still processing the 1st request.
3:15am. Keeps repeating same "high volume" message.

3:30am. Now it says the system is currently unavailable. I am now a bit upset. It's early enough as it is for folks on the East Coast. but it's 3:30am on a work day!

3:51am. Checking the refrigerator for a snack
3:53am. Nothing good. Plus I had a late dinner....

3:58am. counting down...til the phones open...
3:58am. I'm so sleepy.....

4:00am. Called twice. All circuits busy. I'm not even getting through.
4:02am. Calling multiple time. Calls not getting through. I think I'm getting a stomach ache.

4:09am. Been up for over an hour. trying to decide now whether to get a few hours of sleep now and try again in a few hours....
4:14am. It rang!!!!!!!! Only to say circuits are busy. Now they're just toying with me.
4:25am. I'm going to lay down now for a bit. I'm still calling just doing it from a different position.

4:58am. I'm sleepy and may take a nap for an hour......
5:18am. Can't sleep. a few people are getting through....

5:55am. I am now just getting the busy signal. I wonder if people are giving up or going to work?

6:00am. Over 3 hours since this all started. Just a little frustrating, but expected. Now I'm getting hungry...going to check the refrigerator again.

6:20am. 20 minute cat nap.....
8:00am. i guess i needed to sleep. i just got up. i"m in!!!! 25 minute wait.

8:15am. Still hearing the wondering Disney music....I silently think to myself "I'm going to be late for work if I don't start getting ready"
8:17am. Thank goodness I'm on my cell. I put it on speaker phone and take it the bathroom. I brush my teeth. I gargle. Then I think...."Do I have enough time to take a shower? Will I hear the phone? What if I have to answer the phone sopping wet and/or nekked?" I decide to give the phone to my roommate, Jean. She gives me this fearful face like "what am I going to do if they come on?" I tell her to get me in the shower if they come on..

Chapter 40. ADRs not so live...

8:30am So I get unknown male CM on the line and we proceed with my ADR wish list for Wendy and gang. She didn't want to wake up that early and I volunteered to do them for her since I would already be doing mine. (she ended up being awake doing work).

So here's the list of what we wanted and times and then here what we ended up getting

Sunday, Feb 7th:
5:30pm Grand Floridian Cafe.
Score! That's exactly what we got.

Monday, Feb 8th
7:15pm Coral Reef
7:10pm ADRs made!!!

Wednesday, Feb 10th
Noon Prime Time
11:55am ADRs made!!!!

So at least for this portion of the trip. We won't have to adjust the intinerary too much because the ADRs are at undesirable times. We pretty much got everything we wanted at the times we wanted. The CM did a great job. I was very nice and he did say I was nicer than most everyone else. People were mad!

at least you got through!! I tried calling all during the way to work from 7am-8am eastern time...from noon-1pm eastern time and a couple times after 5pm.. all busy...never got through at all and by the time I got home and got my bulimic 13 month old to bed (he seriously figured out tonight that if he put his finger far enough into his mouth he would throw up and I would tell him no and yell at him and he would laugh at me--- nice!!) and by the time I got him to bed and cleaned him and everything up...it was way after 7pm...hopefully they got the internet back working...if not I will be back doing it again tommorow....and all of this after I have been up since 5am eastern standard time to try to get my adrs!! It has not been my day!!
