We are already discussing ip dip III I will be tweeting all weekend there, I think.

And congrats (kinda) on getting AKV! I'm sure you'll love it - Kidani is a stunning resort!!!! And that 5 minute ride to AK can't be beat.

I'm a weepy parent...I get all choked up thinking about random stuff Henry has done or said. I'll be a basketcase when he goes off to school or performs in his first concert. I'm so that Mom.

Chapter 31. Late night DISing.

Most of you are in bed, fast asleep, while I ponder my next update here in the corner of the sectional in our living room:

Airfare Roulette
Prices are now flucuating between 399-470 RT non-stop. Flights are down to 319 for the same approximate dates in January. I'm hoping by the end of the month, I can purchase tickets. I don't like the unknown. Oh and by the way, I put in my dates one day on Delta.com and got a 1500.00 price.... I'm hoping that was for a first class ticket...if not....

Accommodations
As you know I'm staying at AKV the last 4 days of my trip and POP the first 8 days of my trip. Did you hear there are codes out through March? Well, lo and behold, I was able to get the discount for the Pop portion of my trip. SOOOO.....I'm saving over 200.00 now!!!

But to any WDW nutjob saving money, say with a discount, the next question is almost always, "Can I stay an extra day or two?". Of course, it would be easy to justify since I've already budgeted for the original expense. The problem lies in the fact that with 10 days being the max for a Park ticket, I wouldn't be adding days in the park just days at WDW. That's not a bad thing just limits options. What do you think?

ADRs
I think we're pretty set on the ADRs for the first part of the trip. For the solo part of my trip, it's still up in the air. There are places that I want to eat, but also parks I want to be on certain days and sometimes where I want to eat doesn't match up with where I'll be. If you can figure it out for me let me know.

Here's are the components, you make a schedule for me:

1) Of the 4 solo days, Mon through Thursday, one of them has to be a non-theme park day. The dates are Sunday, Feb 14th-Thursday, Feb 18th. President's Weekend.

2) I'm probably leaving at 4:00pm on ME on Thursday going home.

3) My friend, Tom, will probably come on Sunday night, stay over night and hang out on Monday. I'm gonna pay for whatever we decide to do.

4) I do want to do Animal Kingdom's Evening Magic Hour on Wednesday.

5) I'd like to eat at Jiko, Sanaa, Kouzzina, Boma, Tusker House or Flying Fish. I'm doing DDP so I'll have 4 TS credits for Monday day through Thursday at 4pm.

6) I have the Water Park Plus Option so either Typhoon Lagoon (Blizzard Beach is closed for rehab in Feb and it wouldn't be an option anyway) and/or Disney Quest are options.

7) I should have one last visit with Matt and ESPN in there somewhere as well.

Let's see what you guys come up with. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Looks like we share a few of the same peeps, so it behooved me to join the fun over here, too. I've seen you around for a long time, but the thought of jumping into the middle of someone's very long, already established PTR was a bit daunting. (You know, all the backstory, inside jokes, missed chit-chat, and all that...) But, I went back to your first TR, after I saw it referenced somewhere else, and thought I should make the commitment to be here.

First of all, let me introduce myself...My name is Liesa, and I live a very long, long way away from you, well probaby a long, long way from anyone who hangs out here. We are in one of the "Stans" doing community development work in the form of clean water projects (and a bunch of other stuff). In a way, we are in the same line of work. I have a trip planned for Sept., 10 with maroo and another friend. So definitely in the planning mode too.

You live in So. Cal? I grew up in Hemet. Know where that is?? Worked at DLR in the dark ages ('86), and loved every minute!

Just was hoping it wasn't too late to join the fun. Need to go back over the next few days and catch up some, I guess.

Looking forward to "the rest of the story"!

Yesterday, I was determined to do SOMETHING, anything. I dragged my roommate out for lunch at the Block, a outdoor mall not too far from my house. We ate at Corner Bakery...mmmmm...Chopped Salad!!!!

I'm just reading up on your PTR, but had to stop here to say DUDE! If the planets all align and I keep my fingers crossed we may be living really near you next summer! Westminster, off Magnolia and McFadden; we're looking at moving into my uncle's house, two doors down from the one I was born in. (Awe...) Fingers crossed... I miss Cali!

jordan my man, sign up for the disney give a day get a day for 2010 promo they are offering, you can do you service 1 day the first week of january get your redemtion ticket, and use that for another park day in when you go.

All caught up-was in Vegas for the weekend. Saw Pet Shop Boys in concert-good show.
I hear ya on the airfare. We have 7 monthes and it is in the high 3s...We had a credit last time....
I am not much help with the schedule since this will only be my 2nd trip.

Nope. We just found a flight out of Ontario, Ca for 240.00 but it has a connecting flight both ways. Ontario is about an hour from my house so someone would have to drive me....not sure.

I'm not ruling a 1 stop flight yet. It just has to justify me missing 3-4 extra hours at WDW on both arrival day and departure day.

$240 is much better!

As you know, I was in that part of the world in Feb. It was a great time and a very life changing time. I hoping to return next year, but it may have to wait one more year.

I'm glad you decided to hop on board. the links really make it easy and the chit chat is just that, chit chat. you can come and go as you please. we're an easy going bunch here. It's funny because I've lurked on your PTR,but didn't post because I haven't gotten all the way through. I'll be over in the next few days.

I do know where Hemet is and I, too, worked at DLR in 79-82 and 86-89. I was in Frontierland/Adventureland Merch and then at the Plaza Complex as a manager.
