PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

Try to slow down some Jordan! You have been working way too hard! We don't need you to have a relapse! Build up that immune sytem!

Hey Jordan,

A micro manager-huh...that's never good-:confused3 I worked a non profit...a history museum...and I had a micro manager...and that is such a difficult thing...non profits ( and the church is most definitely a non profit...) are really tough because the money is limited and you have to do the job of multiple people -usually for less money-and in your case you have the religious stuff thrown into the mix-and I'm sure you want to do a good job for the church members but...you have to set some kind of boundaries because if you don't- it just isn't going to get any better for you...

you do have a right to a live outside as well you know...:thumbsup2

In the mean time-try to breathe and stay cool...I have my own little peep-who is all about the deep breathing and relaxing...

100_0731.jpg

Umm-that would be his relaxing, meditative stance...I'm sure he would want you to get relaxed and calm...

(He isn't entirely clear about his own "peephood"...:confused3 ...he's a great little dude and he:goodvibes has a strong affinity for Asian culture that we aren't entirely clear about where it came from...:confused3... but regardless of his peep affiliation...he is right about the breathing and relaxing part...:goodvibes

Hope things get easier for you...

Just a side PTR note (or maybe for a new PTR... nah, I have no time...)

But we just booked our rooms for Alaska 2011!

After many phone calls between yesterday and today, we finally settled all reservations and are set. We have a few family friends who might join us but we have our ressies set so they can just try to align with ours.

We were originally booked in the 2 bedroom suite (SWEEEEET) and it was the same one we had last time (8516) so I was all excited that it was available and we were going along booking everything so smoothly and I couldn't believe my mojo that it was going so well and then they told me the price...   :faint:

$19165!!!!!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

So I'm all... "uhhhhhhh, can I put that on hold....?" so then we got prices for all the other options, pow-wowed with Derek, my parents and his parents last night (because I could only hold it for 1 day) and we finally settled on our rooms and such. So we're all in just regular oceanview staterooms with verandah (much more reasonable - whew). We were actually able to get our favorite deck and location (deck 6, midship) right by the elevators - and got two connecting staterooms and another room 2 doors down. Perfect! :thumbsup2 We'll have to save our 2-bedroom experience for 2012...

So now I can rest easy until 2011. Oh wait, there's still ADRs to be made for 2010.

Sigh, a woman's work is never done... :sad2:

Hey There Jordan!

I dropped off the face of the earth here on the boards towards the end of part DEUX of your last TR and just played a major bit of catch up on both that trip and all of the ups and downs you've been through since then! So here we go *takes deep breath*

 on all of the great bathroom reviews

:grouphug: on you getting to hook up with so many DISbuds and peeps during your visit

:thumbsup2 on finding some time to kick back and set your own pace (naps included) at the end of your trip

:rotfl2: at all of the drunks you encountered ...may that Brit never show up next to me at a bar and attempt to show me his tattoos

:yay: on your successful trip to China

 sorry about the gangrene appendix ...glad you came out of that okay bud

:surfweb: I feel your pain about having to work such long hours. May your schedule slack off some soon

Well I'm on board now and have some catching up to do here ...all hail the followers of Jordan, long may we waggle our tongues at the world! :rotfl:

Wow Wendy - that rocks that you've already booked! I didn't think they were taking reservations until next week on the Alaska cruises. I really look forward to seeing a TR on your experience with it (I know - long way away and all). We want to book it for 2012.

I am working a half day today!

Immune system? What's that?;)

Thanks for the advice. I am taking everyone's advice and working 1/2 day today:thumbsup2

Some people just have an affinity for all things Asian. I have a few non-Asian friends who can't get enough of it...Who know where it comes from, but I'm all for Peeps Love...

I love your DS pose...

So glad you're back Mustard!

When's your next trip to WDW scheduled or is it a trip to DLR?

Sorry to hear things have been so hectic for you at work. Just remember to take care of yourself.

I can't believe those pictures were from 2007!! Has it been that long? Wow.

It's been over 2 years since I did my original PTR!!!! It's really been that long.

Thanks for sticking around!

OK, I know I've been away, but, as usual, there are way too many posts to read to get caught up :lmao:

I agree with the others - you need to reevaluate your job, my friend. The cons seem to be far outweighing the pros and if you aren't able to negotiate a better deal, it may be time to look for something else. Your work atmosphere and the insane hours are NOT good for you

I will get caught up on all the PTRs and TRs I'm following, but it's going to take some time :rotfl2:

And more , just because...

I've been off and on the last 2 weeks here on the DIS myself...I'm finally caught up, but it took me 6 straight hours yesterday and a few more today.

I'm re-working my job description to see if I can make a bit more money.

I'm at home now. I took a half day.....:thumbsup2 well a 2/3s day

If you are gold or platinum Castaway Club members (6 or more sailings for gold, 10 or more for platinum) you can book a week ahead of the general public. So everyone else can start booking next Monday but we could book this past Monday.

Are you talking about booking Alaska for 2012? I think they're only sailing May - Sept of 2011, unless for sure the ships are coming out here and doing permanent AK cruises (which could be, I haven't researched it).

Chapter 29. Yes, I did have a day off....

So I actually had a day off yesterday!

AND I only worked 5.25 hours today!!!!

Here is what I left on Friday and came back to today:
DTD2009002.jpg

It took me 2.5 hours to get through it.

Yesterday, I was determined to do SOMETHING, anything. I dragged my roommate out for lunch at the Block, a outdoor mall not too far from my house. We ate at Corner Bakery...mmmmm...Chopped Salad!!!!

We also went to Borders for awhile. I looked at the 2010 Unofficial Guide to WDW and Birnbaum's 2009 Official Guide to WDW...it seems so weird to look at them now. Technology has changed the way we all do things. I kinda got nostalgic looking at Birnbaum's.....sigh...the good old days...

After the Block we drove over to DTD. I had a few things I had to pick up

DTD2009004.jpg

Have you ever seen a Rainforest Cafe at a DTD that wasn't crowded? I hadn't either until yesterday
DTD2009006.jpg

I wish I was on vacation...I'd be digging this MOJO...look no people
DTD2009007.jpg

Over by House of Blues and Tortilla Jo's. Still no people.
DTD2009009.jpg

We walked over to the World of Disney and walking in I told my roommate that I felt like I was back in Florida...it just took me away. Ahhh....relaxation.
DTD2009010.jpg

Disney now has "green" merchandise. I loved the display. Great marketing:
DTD2009011.jpg

After DTD,we walked over to the Disneyland Hotel:
DTD2009012.jpg

Yeah, yeah the backside of water:
DTD2009013.jpg

With that we walked out and drove home to watch the MIA/INDY game. Great game!

How nice it must be to be able to drive over to Downtown Disney and walk around World of Disney on an ordinary day! :)

It's interesting to hear that you have friends who are all into Asian things. I have a Korean-born son, so I sort of perk up when I see things from there, but he couldn't care less.

I hope things work out that you can be happy, productive, and get what you need from your job.

I'm jealous that you could just pop into Downtown Disney for the afternoon! Although if you're not on vacation, I'm sure it is a much different experience.

Yay for a day off! Now you have to figure out how to get more of those! :thumbsup2

I would LOVE to be ablke to go to DTD Disney like that. It helps you get a little fix when you need it!:goodvibes
